Smoking bans, and not

Michael Winning

Over at Samizdata there is a discussion going on about different smking bans in different European countries. The Spanish solution seems good to me, if you have to have the State interfering at all in what people put into their bodies.

One response to “Smoking bans, and not

  1. Except, despite my favourable comments on the Spanish way, they have indeed just implemented what is being hailed as the most strict smoking regulation in Europe. Although as with many things Spanish, I expect its bark will be worse than its bite.
I suppose it just indicates another Spanish trait, that they take most things in moderation, especially moderation.
But, in truth, it is just more European-business-at-work and a compliant local socialist government.
