What the EU-governmint thinks of elections…

especially in places like Ireland.

David Davis

How soon will the Euro implode?

UPDATE:- I said this the other day, too.

David Davis

About 12 years ago, or it may be 13, I bet a YEM* person £25 that the Euro, recently issued, would sink to UD$1.00 by that Christmas. It did fall, a bit: my prediction was only wrong in degree -  but I lost my bet and ponied up.

Now Peter Oborne thinks the project is at last about to come undone.

* “YEM” was the “Young European Movement”. God knows what’s happened to that.

The ultimate fake charity

David Davis

I give you…..the RSPCA!

Their “operatives” even wear paramilitary uniforms.

Oh dear, a spat with Pakistan, again

David Davis

UPDATE: I forgot to include a link to the report – apologies.

Our Coagulation-PM has got into hot water, it seems, with certain nationalist elements in the Pakistani Intelligence Services.

Apparently this is what Cameron said:-

”But we cannot tolerate in any sense the idea that this country is allowed to look both ways and is able, in any way, to promote the export of terror whether to India, whether to Afghanistan or to anywhere else in the world.”

The problem of interpretation centres on TWO WORDS…”able” and “promote”. If his advisers had said to him to say “unable” to “prevent”, or even “finds it difficult to prevent”, then I don’t think the ISI could have complained – for that would, as we all know, be substantively true.

Perhaps the coagulation is going to founder on the rock of the British Political Enemy-Class, which still owns the Terms Of Discourse, which wants our culture and civilisation dead, which believes what it is saying and thinks we don’t think that, and still, sadly, briefs Cameron’s speechwriters.

Pakistan is a surprisingly large place, like neighbouring Afghanistan, and it is difficult to police much of it, even had its government the strategic will and vision to supress “certain elements”.

“Johnny-Taliban” is clearly getting his gear (even if not his squaddies) from somewhere, and nearby – given his logistics-set-up – is the obvious place. I don’t think the Russians’ writ quite runs as well as it did in those parts in the 1970s/80s, so “north” is probably out: furthermore, ShootinPutin187 knows, to a nicety, how far to push us or not, and this is not something he’d go the the stake over.

France always makes trouble for the Anglosphere on principle, whenever it can. That’s how it is: it’s France’s job and has been for 1,000 years. So I’m prepared to believe that money might be coming from there, if not explosives and IED-technology. But Occam’s Razor does, sadly, point to our old chum “West Pakistan”.

If the ISI geeks want to flounce, let them.

But now for something nice

David Davis

I’m going to buy one of these.

Diane Abbott for “Labour” leader

David Davis

As I have often said on Facebook, it is of no account whatever who is the leader of the “Labour Party”, since it will try to do the same thing over and over again regardless – which is to say: burn down and destroy what semblence of liberalism still exists in the UK.

It must, simply, be shut down and its hard disks malleted, before it can continue to exist to do yet more damage to liberty in the world.

But although people are rating her as a 3%-cert or less, I think all support should be given to her. That will ensure that Labour is unelectable for at least three years.

I think we could profitably watch this space

David Davis

Here.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating

David Davis

The Cameroid has appointed old George Young (remember him from thousands of years ago, when history was going to end and the West had Won?) to “review H&S legislation and scumbag pointless regulations brought in to destroy this culture and enterprise.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

All they have to do is simply repeal the regulations. In a block. All of them. Them we can buy pipe-cleaners again, and take school parties to steel-foundries again, which is rather more important. I wanted to do the latter a few years ago, just about five of them in a car. But I could not, for the steelworks, although keen to have us, would have got closed down by force if one of the little buggers’d injured himself on a piece of white-hot rolled-steel. (You just have to say “careful with that, sonny, it’s a bit warm!”)

Prince Charles has been at the Philosopher-Juice, again

David Davis

I chanced upon this in the Times. Also, I find that Nick@CountingCats has done a good fisk of the silly old loon. Here’s a bit more detail about what the bugger said…

It’s a great pity really, for the poor British, who have striven mightily over the centuries to achieve something resembling the outer shell of a pre-capitalist-barbarian warlord-polity, but with “added freedom” and some goodish bolt-ons… This sort of social structure I guess gives comfort to some, if not most, people whose main past-time is trying to just get by while avoiding thinking too deeply about much.

But one of the goodish bolt-ons is that this model also delivers a modicum of personal liberty to the vast mass of the subjects – sadly often against their will. They will live to regret this lacuna in their perception of reality.

Now, however, although the British have at last painstakingly evolved, within this structure, the grand tradition of being able to get rid of their “king” and hire another one from somewhere else if they don’t like the first one, and so although they have now got a more-or-less-harmless strain of hereditary “Heads Of State”, the supposedly-chief male heir now proceeds to go batchy on Global Wireless Tele Vision – and he does it often as well, which is worse.

It’s all rather sad. If the concept of republicanism wasn’t so innately un-conservative and redolent of philosophical rootlessness, I might be more in favour of it for the British. I’ll have to reflect a bit.

If arms offer power and protection, they belong in the hands of the People

David Davis

And no I didn’t invent that myself: it is the formal policy-position of the Swiss “Government” (if that word is not slightly tautological.)

Paul Goodman at ConservativeHome nicely articulates the position most of us take on here, which is that now is definitely not the time to do kneejerk, Tabloid-Million-Moms-driven legislation to further restrict, or even ban entirely, all firearms, thus taking us as a people into the territory of the Third Reich, wherein Himmler said that private gun ownership and licensing was “inconvenient” for the State. Except for Göring of course.

I have been excoriated on Facebook, for saying that these periodic massacres, ostensibly by lone crazed lunatics, are set up by the “authorities” every time they want to ratchet up the gun controls here. With hindight, I’m prepared to suspect (but only suspect) that I was wrong in this particular case. But my major thesis still stands I think. We will anyhow know the truth about Dunblane in about 80 years’ time.

Reasons to smoke, revisited

David Davis

Rather more than two years ago, I suggested on here, at this place, some reasons why you might choose to smoke.

Things have moved on, the GramscoFabiaNazis have moved forwards and we that defend liberty and sovereign individualism are retreating still. This is sad but we did predict it.

However,  Over at this blog (which has some excellent photos on it every day) is one of an embattled smoker, in London. The comment thread is interesting as it reveals the emotions of some “antis” towards other fellow human beings. WE here did warn you all, time and time again, about the ineffable evil-ness, and astonishingly detached inhumanity, of “anti-smokers”, which are droids that we have always said that we would conflate with sub-humans, for they do not register human emotions or responses to individual behaviour. Hitler, for example, was a vegetarian anti-smoker. I am sure that Pol Pot and Mao-tse-Tung did not smoke either.

Found commented, at Legiron’s place. Read him, GramscoFabiaNazis, to find out about the seething undercurrent of hatred towards you, that by your repression and by your surveillance-state, and by your control-philosophy, you are stoking – as a fire, for yourselves.

When you will have “won” in your eyes, and there is nothing, for anyone, amywhere, then we shall simply have to come for you, and kill you and eat you.

I see that Gold is quite rocky, today…

David Davis

One of my pet achievements is to have been able to paste “widgets” such as the excellent Kitco charts that you see beside you on this sidebar. Not being a tech-guy, and not knowing even the square-root-of-effing-all about something called “HTML”, or even “cascading style sheets” (search me, guv!) I gave myself a pat on the back for these being on here at all.

It is an interesting and fun exercise to watch them, even down to the hour, as they react to what the loliticians on the MSM are saying and doing. Gold seems especially rocky today, I am not sure why, but it has not really tested the heights of the last week or fortnight or so. I wonder why it’s so jumpy, and yet not stratospheric? Can anyone enlighten us?

New government, same old Gestapo

This is a rather threatening small cloud on the horizon.

What to do now

David Davis

This is what I commented on on Facebook, here.

As Dr Sean Gabb has often said, the EU is “a” problem, but it is not perhaps the “real” problem.

It is however very true to say that the EU does make our lives more difficult, for that is its stated objective: but the “continental nations” have found ways around that strategy, like outright disobedience at all levels of their societies. For example, you  may buy stuff in Pounds and Ounces in French village markets: you may also decide not to observe slaughterhouse regulations in Spain or Greece, if it is not fully convenient on that day so to do….or you may decide to use a pipe-cleaner as a nursery-toy in Italy or Germany, for this is what the project requires, or you can do a traditional festival exactly as unsafely as it was intended, such as again in Spain or Sicily…the Health and safety inspectors are eminently bribable to go away and say nought.

This is something which sadly we English shall have to as a nation re-learn, having spent 14 centuries trying to eradicate it from our Body-Politic, so as to elevate as a principle The Rule Of Law.

The Rule of Law is not, unfortunately, understood by wannabe-green-subsistence-farmer-pre-capitalist-barbarians. These latter droids, horrible-to-relate, exist in vast amounts _/spcecifially inside the UK/_ inside the upper and middle-layers of our neo-Maoist bureaucracy, created in our Universities on purpose while our backs were turned.

The EU could be expelled from at least England, tomorrow, by the act of England leaving the UK, which would of course automatically invalidate ROME, the SEA, Maastricht, Nice and Lisbon not to mention others. Think about this as an interesting strategy…it would at once solve the problem of England, which generates about 90% of the tax-revenue-stream of the UK, while getting the benefit of about 12% of that. It would also concentrate wonderfully the minds of the leftist Nazi caucuses which purport to run the celtic-fringe-governed “nations”: they would be on their own. We could “give them the oil”, if they want, it would not matter either way by then. We can buy oil from Russia, which is temporarily (but not in the long term, so we should beware after about 2014) bust.

But our Atomic-SuM-Barines and Tornados would automatically withdraw from Faslane, Lossiemouth etc, for then the chaps in HolyRood House and Cardiff will be able to, and will want to, call on FranscoGerman and Soviet protection instead. We shall of course take all our warheads with us, as they represent “pollution”. I as “Foreign and War Secretary” in a libertarian government in the UK, would see to it that we had lots of these – in charge of course of de-statising “education” as I also would be.

The strategic problem faced by England lies in the hearts and minds of the droids who currently work for “the State” here in England. They are not England’s friend, for they subsist by stealing monies from English people, so as to “do jobs” that the majority of Engllish People do not regard as needing to be done.

“Immigrants” are not really the problem: they are only here because so many, many English people have become “State Droids” that there are not enough droids to do the following things. Things like cleaning the toilets in private firms and in motorway-services, repairing pipes and drains on sewage farms, digging holes, ploughing fields in the greatest Mechanised Farm In the History Of The World, killing badgers that have TB and thus poison other people’s cows next door, filling shelves in Tesco, and the like.

“Immigrants” have been brought in to (1) “rub the noses of the >right< in diversity” (the enemy has said so quite cheerfully in documents) and (2) to do the jobs that the bureaucrats now can’t do or don’t want to, and (3) to prop up the gramscoNazi vote. Immigrants themselves are thus victims of neo-leftist-anti-liberal-anti-British-leftism, and ought to be pitied, for there is now nowhere for them to hide, neither from their enemies and ours, unless they become really British (and so disappear culturally, like the “Jews” and most Poles have managed to do) which is the best thing for them.

“Lessons learned” I think, from the Holocaust, here.

The real problem lies in our increasingly-ingrained culture of statist employment, which must be broken and

Nice one from the Underdog

The Evil One still thinks he owns the soul of the Lib Dems

And no, I did not mean Gordon Brown.

David Davis

Whether or not Nick Clegg decides to help the Tories remove the Wicked Westmonster from Downing Street, where it malevolently squats, slitty-eyed and lockjawed, at all-comers, one thing became clear today.

The droids that think they own the right to boss, to hector, to threaten, to “choice-edit”, and to kill in the name of “fairness”, just as Pol Pot thought, are now coming for Clegg too. “Liberal Democracy” is not enough for them: only tyranny will do. He’d do well to lock his doors at night from now on.

There might be something to be said for Proportional Representation, as Dr Sean Gabb was discussing with me on the phone a little time ago, this being since FPP has clearly failed to deliver liberty in modern times, even under the more recent less socialist than socialist Tory governments.

But it’s what else the droids will contrive to “demand” that is the real danger.

UPDATE: There is a discussion going on on Facebook about this.

Ed Balls nasty man

David Davis

I’m saving my virginity for this election.

When I was a young boy, we were sometimes being warned, usually by our parents, about people called “nasty men”. We were all of course quite familiar with the history of WW2, as it had just occurred that morning in relative terms, so we wondered if Stalin was the finger-man, or if it was somebody else such as the Gestapo or the SD (as boys, we all were quite familiar with what the SD did and why, for it was only the 1950s). We didn’t think it was German Generals, since we knew all about these by name, and mostly they were “clean” insofar as behaviour on battlefronts was concerned. Even as sx- and seven-year-olds, we accepted a few departures from full Geneva-Convention-Stuff, “in the heat of battle” sort of thing. We even weathered the Cuban Missile Crisis without being “afraid to die”. It was only 1962, sex had not yet been invented, and so therefore we “knew that we were right”, and that “all will turn out for the best, boys!” in the end.

I now know what these “nasty men” were, and one of them is this one here. They were not people that my sad mum called “men who want to play with your wee-wee” ( I have never, ever, ever understood what the attraction of this might be, especially as it now smells most of the time whatever I do to the blasted thing) but actually politicians of the anti-liberal-Political Enemy-Class”.

If Ed Balls wants to come and play with my wee-wee, then everybody has his price, and I have mine. He can fondle my wee-wee, and suck me off (it will do nothing for me as I know this already: the practice of “fellatio”, forced on young men who didn’t see the point of it, by feminist women in the early-70s, appeared to me to be disgusting, un-necessary and totalitarian, since women were already pre-equipped with all the required apparatus anyway and the human mouth was not needed for the process) or do what he wants…but this is the price….. All remaining structures, political, concrete and virtual, that were ever Raised In This Land by the Socialists, and latterly by the GramscoFabiaNazis, will have to come down.

For ever.

And I mean _/ever/_ .

Soclialism must be eliminated, totally. For ever.

If the nasty-man wants to suck my wee-wee, then that is the cost.

I really, really think that you ought to go here, and do it now

David Davis

Here.

The GramscoFabiaNazis know precisely what they are doing, and they are emulating the destruction of “Old Nichol” on purpose. So that they can create worse places.

Nasty Statist “drug-policing-theatre”

David Davis

Here and here.

We all know what we think about these matters. The “war on drugs”, like the “war on terror”, is a statist excuse for extension of surveillance, control, occupying-army-style-policing, and the general “choice-editing” of ordinary humans’ paths of action, by the Political Enemy-Class.

Perhaps the invention of actors and theatre is the problem? And politicians are really actors with too much power?

Discuss.

Concentrating the Mind

David Davis with Michael Winning (beers)

In the last few days, we have had a lot of stuff about volcanoes. Mainly because our old friend, Iceland, has decided to do its normal thing from over the last 40-or-so-million-years, and produce large volumes of asthenosperic materials, for high-level-projection, in short order. Indeed, an even cursory look at geological maps of Iceland will show an even shorter history of eruptions than that.

The Icelanders ought to be our friends. Indeed, those of us who live here in the North West are probably more closely related to them than you can shake a stick at. But today, I thought I would type rapidly, and without too much affore-thought, about modern civilisation, economics, and (you’ve guessed it) climate change. We people of today, in “New Britain, a YOUNG COUNTRY” as the disgusting and over-grasping pig Blair put it, once, have never seen a real volcano. Nor indeed has anyone else alive today, or even whoever has been alive in the last 70,000 years or thereabouts. (We think….)

What would happen to the AGW movement, which sets out to destroy humanity on purpose, and is by way of almost succeeding now, if there was a real volcanic eruption? You knowof what I speak! The kind from a crater the size of Wyoming, and which carries on for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years? If not thousands? They could, and have done in the past. Planets, especially large and massive rocky ones close(ish) to suns, are big objects with a lot of inertia, in respect of the organisms which might cling tenuously to life on their surfaces. It’s fortunate that they’re mostly as big as they are, or we’d have other difficulties too.

Let’s suppose that Yellowstone goes belly-up, tomorrow. The odds are it probably won’t, but it could. Should we apply the “precuationary principles” to such as event, and indeed could we even do so?

Almost immediately, pretty much all the agricultural land of North America will vanish. Along with it, about half the world’s acreage of grain and other plant crops, in productivity terms. Forget the “people” – to GramscoStalinists, people who live in North America are mere dross or statistics. Unless they are Mexicans or “blacks” but that won’t help much as Mexico and New Orleans (where of course Gramscians say all “blacks” live and all are “disadvantaged”) will be under the ash too. The stratospheric dust and ash clouds will persist for years, maybe decades or centuries. No growing-land will be safe anywhere, and billions may die.

At first, GreeNazis will rejoice. Food will still be avilable, at a price, and the metrosexual kinds will eat, for a while. But the planet has about 66 days’ supply of primary foods for humans at any one time. After the “little local shops” have run out first, and the “locavores” have begun to get restive and angry about “failure of government initiatives to ensure supplies for families, workers and young people”, thngs will start to get exciting. People will start to rob for food and to rob food: Police forces, especially in the UK, will start to behave like they have been itching to for years, deploying all the guns they have been hoarding and training with, especially against “terrorists”. The familes of Police will eat tolerably well, for a time….

The sky will be a dark grey colour most of the time, and it will seem very cold, all the time. The sun will not appear to heat the air at all. Yorkshire-sized icebergs, carrying their own microclimates, will travel as far as Tenerife before melting. The Shetlands may have to be abandoned, along with their oil and gas – which will become a prized commodity. No surviving GreeNazis will dare to speak openly of “bio fuels”, for fear of being made to watch their children being lynched and eaten, before they themselves are spitted and roasted over the fire, fed by their children’s uncollected fat. Saudi Arabia might dry up completely and rains there may fail.

A small Ice Age might be triggered. Two or three thousand years, no more than that, if we are lucky: a mere blip on the paleogeological temperature record.

The precautionary Principle suggests to us two here, that we ought to do the following, given the 1,100 trillion tonnes of Oxygen depositied, for our benefit, in today’s atmosphere:-

(1) Burn as much fossil fuels as we can pump, to make concrete and steel to build as many nuclear power stations as we can fill with nuclides, as fast as possible,

(2) Pay the Chindians to mine as much coal as their hearts can spade up, to help same process,

(3) Raise the atmospheric CO2 percentage to about 1% asap (that’s nearly 30 times the present level!), to promote regrowth of plant life as fast as can be managed, given that air temperature /could/ be a limiting factor.

We might, just might, if  we did all this, now, avert a fully-major human disaster, in which billions of people will die. Ought we not to do this for the children? Afeter all, the probability of this is far higher than AGW…

Could the Limp-Dems have gone off the idea of “Proportional Representation”?

Another interesting (and worrying) read

David Davis

I was idly scanning “Underdogs Bite Upwards” – as you do – earlier, and it says there that the Green Party actually want to do these things. If it was not scary – these are the kinds of people that truly believe what they say, just like we do – then it would be droll. But it’s not droll, for if they got anywhere near such a heavily-empowered State as this one, then they would really get started.

Army “criticised” for”depicting” Mosques on firing range

Here is one report. Here is another, hopefully with a published comment by me.

David Davis

There is a tragic human confusion and dilemma. It invloves these two concept: on the one hand that of astonishingly beautiful Cosmic Order and underlying logic – which can be observed and is of course validated by the study of Physics and Maths. And it involves also the seemingly innate yearning for some kind of “supreme being” who has (of course) supervised all this created order …. (it MUST have been created, mustn’t it…? Er?) This yearning must have arisen sometime in the last 80,000 – 90,000 years, a timeframe in which modern humans seem to have practised formalised burial-rites, with “grave-goods” and the like. This indicates beliefs in the possibility of an “afterlife”, or an esistence in the presence of others whom we can’t perceive, either “souls” or a “god” or both.

As a scientist, I have never had problems in appreciating the high degree of order that we observe, while also being quite relaxed about the _/possibility/_ (a hypothesis that we cannot currently test as we don’t know how) that there _/might/_ be a divine Intelligence (you can call it what you want) which initially set up some numbers, and them left the mathematical-model running “to see what it might do”. Perhaps “it” was just messing about. We of course do not know and right now we cannot know.

The problem starts to arise in a context where a tribal set’s beliefs become so formalised, and so “having to be adhered to” (in fear of…what exactly?) that any sort of sleight against the vulgate of that tribal set is taken really really personally. Specially if the “offence” is committed by a competing tribal-set. I don’t know if this emotion-set springs from primeval conflicts about access to usable grazing-land, or to oases, or to cattle to farm and milk, or to women for breeding with: perhaps it might.

But what seems to happen is that the symbols – such as (supposedly) Mosques in this case or even churches, become confused with the reality of the beliefs. As I said over at the Daily Mail, no Moslem can possibly think that Allah lives in any particular Mosque, just as no Christian would believe that God inhabits “any” church in particular. If He – Allah or God -  exists as God, then he is nowhere and everywhere simultaneously,  just like “God” is. The dangers arise when irrationality about the nature of The Person of God, and what (if anything) He inhabits, other than the minds and hearts of individual human beings,  interferes with one’s judgement about how other people behave.

My secular-oriented-guess about this little matter is tha some passing GramscoFabiaNazi has spotted these firing ranges near Bellerby (quite pretty, only 90-odd-miles from here), and has tipped off the local Imam, to see if any “p-p-p-political capital” can be made for the race-hate-religio-hate-industry.

The Moslems in the UK ought to wake up and calculate that they are being set up as useful idiots through their more hot-headed “respected scholars”, by this government. This is as a precedent for a group that can be made unpopular, so that “when THEY COME FOR THEM, nobody will speak up for them.” Everybody will say…”bloody Islamic Terrorists! Always complaining and whingeing about something unimportant! Good riddance!”

The Jews – who could be portrayed as even more barbaric and unpopular than Moslems, as many are or have been “bankers” -  can’t be publicly demonised as the first “out-group” quite yet, as it’s still too near the Holocaust (which you’re not allowed to deny either) and this “topic” has not yet been successfully removed from the history “syllabus”. Although “Universities” are starting to denounce jews with “links to Israel”. The rot is setting in – it won’t be long now, before we are back to the 1,000-year-European norm in this matter.

But then THEY’ll come for you….one day…and there’s designed to be nobody left. Sadly, the Moslems here have their “useful idiots” too, who will happily whoop and whinge at inconsequential supposed sleights, over purely sumbolic matters.

They’re off

David Davis

and it doesn’t make any difference which party you vote for: the government will get back in. It will get in if you vote Labour, Tory or illiberal-dem. It will also get in if you vote UKIP, Libertarian Party, Loony or whatever. The regime is the problem, as Sean said below: no individual party with a hope of forming a majority will change anything.

WE’ve lost our AAA credit-rating anyway. The announcement will be delayed till sometime after 6th May, “to bury bad news”. The chavetariat will not care, and everyone that’s left on duty will be working too hard to notice.

Can we find 500 ways…

…of annoying, perfectly legally (it must be this way) jumped-up-bureaucrats?

David Davis

I had an idea while scanning Old Holborn on Facebook just now. The buggers have created 4,000+ new criminal offences in 13 years: let’s try and match that with the number of ways they can be irritated, annoyed, and obstructed, while staying entirely within the law as it stands. (This may have been an original idea of Sean gabb’s, I can’t remember.)

If they start to move the fences in their enragement at this process, then we will truly know what we are dealing with.

Comments please!

It does not matter

whether Gordon Brown stays in after being defeated at the (when?) election or not.

David Davis

Britain’s AAA credit-rating has been lost already. The markets have discounted it by letting Mervyn King buy up all our Gilts for the last year.

The Agencies are merely waiting till after the poll to announce it, for fear of being thought “political”. You’d think that the bear-raid on Sterling that will inevitably follow will be worse if he’s there than if he’s been arrested and sectioned.

No use voting Tory, Sean, not really, not any more

David Davis

Sean Gabb, on this column, bravely defended the position that we ought to vote Tory this time, to give us just a little more time before fully-sliding down into the eternal cesspool of the socialist Endarkenment. Something might turn up: you cannot know unless we could try it. It could be worth the candle, the game could. A few more years to organise, under a State that won’t, probably, actually turn its police’s guns on its own people.

But now we have this. And indeed, when you watch Gordon Brown at PM’s questions, he really does seem like a fighter whho truly believes what he is saying, and who truly believe in the unutterably-irrevocable wickedness of the Tories and others, any others, that oppose him and his. You can see how Simon-Cowell-educated people will wamr to him and will tend to vote for him.

We are truly f****d. But hopefully the setting-in of the true rot will take some time. However, knowledge still exists in distributed form, and we can ameliorate the effects of civilisational decay (barring violence and fire) over the years and decades.

It looks like we have to go down to the bottom, before we can go up. Like the poor Germans. So we might as well vote for whoever pleases us.

Gordon Brown and the Lost Gold

David Davis

It may all come out sometime, but I don’t think it will be soon.

You know something? Sometimes it is quite impossible for me to decide what the individual penalties ought to be, for deliberately carrying through a known and planned Act Of Destruction such as this.

The Poles, in 1945-46, at least got to hang hundreds and hundreds of minor socialist functionaries. The trouble is that they were hung by merely another sort of socialist functionary.

I can’t imagine anything we could do to Brown, Balls and Miliband and their Treasury apparatchiks, that could possibly atone for this amount of loss.

For them to say “Sorry” somehow does not cut the mustard.

We could make their eternal descendants pay, for ever and ever and ever, but this would begin to lose its meaning after a few hundred years and would merely become some sort of annual ceremony, the purpose of which has long been lost in legend by the MSM, such as the Armistice thing is going to be.

I know we don’t have the death penalty for nonces, but it makes you wonder how prisoners in prison get to have razor-blades to use against other prisoners

EDIT: the Maily Dail has it as “breaking news” – that tells you everything about our civilisation. And I wrote it fully 30 minutes ago… and I’m slow and old.

David Davis

This is the first of my long-headline-pieces for some time.

Someone called Ian Huntley, who killed two girls in 2002 in the benighted place called Soham, where I wonder how anyone can ever sell a house these days, got his throat slashed, actually while _/in prison/_

I thought that the death penalty for “capital crimes” had been abolished in 1968. And it seems that this was by the very people who engineered laws of various kinds that criminalised people, increasingly stringently over the recent years, who were thought to think about girls, and sex, and stuff like that, like Ian Huntley apparently is thought to think.

These people are called Fabians. I am not saying that Fabians are the only people that think that strange men should not murder little girls for any reason whatsoever. The murder of little girls is wrong, and libertarians are against this.

Well, there you are. The effing nonce killer has been attacked, with intent, while in prison. Could someone please tell me how prisoners get blades of sharpness, and what for?

I wonder whether this British-State, although having officially abolished the death penalty 42 years ago, has privately decided that this specific penalty _/can/_ be applied, and perhaps should be applied, sometimes, in an “accidental” sort of unsupervised way, but only to criminals which it has decided that nobody will bitch about the death of, and who are already “inside”.

By other criminals, so nobody who matters gets blamed for stuff “going through the wrong channels”?

It’s just nasty buggers killing each other, in a “sort of criminals’ hierarchy”.

How barbaric is that, then?

I thought we were in favour of the “Rule of Law”?

No?

I am not in favour of a “State Death Penalty”. It transfers the obligation to end the life of another human to the State’s decision, which we cannot do and which we cannot delegate since we are currently not allowed that individual right. If we cannot delegate this right, not possessing it supposedly, then we cannot allow the State to allow other prisoners of it to end the life of Ian Huntley.

If we as sovereign individuals are allowed the right to end the life of those that torment and oppress us, then we can kill others, and so someone else who is aggrieved by him can kill Ian Huntley – but NOT the other prisoners. He is not their problem, and they are not his. IF he is to be kept alive by statute law, then he ought to be kept away from scumbag murderers and robbers who’d kill for a half-penny, and who think that they hate “pediatricians”.

Only the parents and relations of the girls he killed could have any traction in this one.

Very bad news…a death to be soon announced

David Davis

The death of the USA as a free and un-socialistically-encumbered nation will be announced in the next few decades. The rot sets in, although happily I suppose (as Enoch Powell once told some of us) “it takes quite some time.”

The Obamessiah’s healthcare “reforms” will soon, it is feared, take place.

You’d think they would look in horror across the Atlantic, to what has happened to us since 1948, and recoil. perhaps it adds evidence to my thesis that GramscoFabiaNazis like Obama do what they do on purpose.

Apparently, it is “absolutely central to who they are”.

So, what about libertarians then?

Stop complaining about supermarkets, and start attacking Soviets who stop you helping the “little shops”

David Davis

Michael mentions “little shops” just below, but aside from the taxation-threats lined up by the GramscoFabiaNazi food-rationists against foods, of whatever kind, this caught my eye. Below is comment (just inside the 1,000 character limit) which I’ve posted on The Daily Wail:-

Modern supermarkets are the greatest boons to Mankind. If you didn’t want them, they’d not exist.

Admit it: you know you must, and you _/know in your heart/_ that these places exist because _/you/_ the customers want them to.

You, I, everyone here all know that we couldn’t function, in the post-modern, socialist hell-hole of frenetic slave-labour just to pay basic bills and taxation, that is “Britain, a Young Country” (remember that Tony Bliar gag?) without these convenient, cheap places.

Yes, “little local shops” are lovely. But Councils, which is to say “Soviets”, have ensured that you can’t either drive to them (pedestrianisation) or park near enough to enough of them to buy enough at one trip to make it worthwhile to try.

RIP UP all pedestrianisation schemes. (Wicked pernicious town-wrecking, on purpose by Stalinists.)
SAW OFF all parking meters and block in the holes.
SACK the “wardens” so they can go and serve you your fresh veggies at “little shops” instead.

Ken Clarke is a bloke

David Davis

The Tories may not be so stupid after all. Samizdata thinks they have really lost their marbles on this one, but I’m not so sure.

The problem with the Tories is that David Cameron, his labour-voting wife, and the advertising-buggers who “advise him”, are all Gramscian crypto-Fabian metrosexual wind-turbinobastobaters and polenta-eating lefties. They even understand Tony Blair, the great and prime anti-liberal Tory of the 20th Century, and probably dine with his friends on their Tuscan kitchen tables.

Ken Clarke could by no means be considered one of these, even if he is an old-leftist-one-nation-Tory-and-Europhiliac. He would not eat polenta, or have a windturbastobator on his roof if you even paid him. And the voters know it in their hearts.

The problem is he is not leader of the Tory party, and this ought to be rectified right away.

Either we’re about to pull out, or else there’s an election coming

David Davis

So, Gordon Brown has just popped in for a brew with the lads, over on the front, eh? Bet they’re pleased.

The effing bastard will either win the election, or there’ll be a hung-one. You just watch. He’s a wicked socialist scumbag schemer and shyster and snake-oil-salesman, just like his mate Stalin, and you see if I’m right or not. If he gets in again, you just see if he doesn’t end up having people murdered in dank cellars, in the “Ministry” of something or other. Read my friend Richard Blake’s novel “The Terror of Constantinople”, which is prophetic.

Bet each reader of this 1p that Gordon wins, and that the election will have been rigged. You can pay the Libertarian Alliance by paypal when you lose.

Buggering people up: lifting the lid on British-State Soviet-wheelie-bins

David Davis

Time I said something. Sorry, I have been rather ill lately, hope it’s not anything more serious. I don’t seem to want to eat much these days, which is quite odd, and I have trouble “in the mornings”, sort of in the bathroom. Relying on the other blogger-team somewhat.

The nice chap over at An Englishman’s Castle has said that he’s found a RFID chip in his wheelie-bin, from the Kennet Council Soviet, monitoring whether he’s an old lady who needs help with her wheelie-bin being moved (I don’t think…).

I suggest you look under, in, on top of, and round the back of, all your wheelie-bins, take out by force the various accoutrements that you uncover and which register on a magnetometer, and send them back to where they came from.

I have also facebooked this to “try it on the dog” as it were.

I’d like to say something nice about Michael Foot

…but I can’t.

David Davis

He died today. He was 96: I’d be happy to reach that, but I probably won’t, owing mostly to high living, wild women and too much alcohol drunk while too young.

The problem with socialists is so, so easy to solve. As a human being, you have free will. You can, well, just walk away. Just like people give up smoking or drugs or drinking. In the end, they walk away, or die.

Foot never did. Perhaps the “feminist”  Jill Craigie was just too sexy to shag (I am sorry, I do not know either way) and he never fancied any of the Tories’ (young female) “researchers”. We always knew about “researchers”, and they were always at least vaguely pretty, or even better than that: many of them “had family money”,  and some were even the daughters of “Officers” (these only married “rising stars” and you were of course out of the running big-time – “look, you’re a really really super fun friend…but….”): but we being penniless, we could never get any.

In the end, Foot didn’t walk away – he just became an old socialist. He could not even not wear a “donkey-jacket” to the Cenotaph. Not that it really really matters at all what you wear while paying your respects to the War Dead, so long as you mean it.

But it was, well, just “impolite”. Socialists, ultimately, know that they “are serious” and so they don’t even want to disguise how they despise.
