Concentrating the Mind

David Davis with Michael Winning (beers)

In the last few days, we have had a lot of stuff about volcanoes. Mainly because our old friend, Iceland, has decided to do its normal thing from over the last 40-or-so-million-years, and produce large volumes of asthenosperic materials, for high-level-projection, in short order. Indeed, an even cursory look at geological maps of Iceland will show an even shorter history of eruptions than that.

The Icelanders ought to be our friends. Indeed, those of us who live here in the North West are probably more closely related to them than you can shake a stick at. But today, I thought I would type rapidly, and without too much affore-thought, about modern civilisation, economics, and (you’ve guessed it) climate change. We people of today, in “New Britain, a YOUNG COUNTRY” as the disgusting and over-grasping pig Blair put it, once, have never seen a real volcano. Nor indeed has anyone else alive today, or even whoever has been alive in the last 70,000 years or thereabouts. (We think….)

What would happen to the AGW movement, which sets out to destroy humanity on purpose, and is by way of almost succeeding now, if there was a real volcanic eruption? You knowof what I speak! The kind from a crater the size of Wyoming, and which carries on for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years? If not thousands? They could, and have done in the past. Planets, especially large and massive rocky ones close(ish) to suns, are big objects with a lot of inertia, in respect of the organisms which might cling tenuously to life on their surfaces. It’s fortunate that they’re mostly as big as they are, or we’d have other difficulties too.

Let’s suppose that Yellowstone goes belly-up, tomorrow. The odds are it probably won’t, but it could. Should we apply the “precuationary principles” to such as event, and indeed could we even do so?

Almost immediately, pretty much all the agricultural land of North America will vanish. Along with it, about half the world’s acreage of grain and other plant crops, in productivity terms. Forget the “people” – to GramscoStalinists, people who live in North America are mere dross or statistics. Unless they are Mexicans or “blacks” but that won’t help much as Mexico and New Orleans (where of course Gramscians say all “blacks” live and all are “disadvantaged”) will be under the ash too. The stratospheric dust and ash clouds will persist for years, maybe decades or centuries. No growing-land will be safe anywhere, and billions may die.

At first, GreeNazis will rejoice. Food will still be avilable, at a price, and the metrosexual kinds will eat, for a while. But the planet has about 66 days’ supply of primary foods for humans at any one time. After the “little local shops” have run out first, and the “locavores” have begun to get restive and angry about “failure of government initiatives to ensure supplies for families, workers and young people”, thngs will start to get exciting. People will start to rob for food and to rob food: Police forces, especially in the UK, will start to behave like they have been itching to for years, deploying all the guns they have been hoarding and training with, especially against “terrorists”. The familes of Police will eat tolerably well, for a time….

The sky will be a dark grey colour most of the time, and it will seem very cold, all the time. The sun will not appear to heat the air at all. Yorkshire-sized icebergs, carrying their own microclimates, will travel as far as Tenerife before melting. The Shetlands may have to be abandoned, along with their oil and gas – which will become a prized commodity. No surviving GreeNazis will dare to speak openly of “bio fuels”, for fear of being made to watch their children being lynched and eaten, before they themselves are spitted and roasted over the fire, fed by their children’s uncollected fat. Saudi Arabia might dry up completely and rains there may fail.

A small Ice Age might be triggered. Two or three thousand years, no more than that, if we are lucky: a mere blip on the paleogeological temperature record.

The precautionary Principle suggests to us two here, that we ought to do the following, given the 1,100 trillion tonnes of Oxygen depositied, for our benefit, in today’s atmosphere:-

(1) Burn as much fossil fuels as we can pump, to make concrete and steel to build as many nuclear power stations as we can fill with nuclides, as fast as possible,

(2) Pay the Chindians to mine as much coal as their hearts can spade up, to help same process,

(3) Raise the atmospheric CO2 percentage to about 1% asap (that’s nearly 30 times the present level!), to promote regrowth of plant life as fast as can be managed, given that air temperature /could/ be a limiting factor.

We might, just might, if  we did all this, now, avert a fully-major human disaster, in which billions of people will die. Ought we not to do this for the children? Afeter all, the probability of this is far higher than AGW…

Another interesting (and worrying) read

I was idly scanning “Underdogs Bite Upwards” – as you do – earlier, and it says there that the Green Party actually want to do these things. If it was not scary – these are the kinds of people that truly believe what they say, just like we do – then it would be droll. But it’s not droll, for if they got anywhere near such a heavily-empowered State as this one, then they would really get started.

Green wasters

David Davis

When I drive around, usually in a hurry to do tasks and chores, I am often struck (not literally, thankfully) by the use of Municipal waste-collection vehicles, and the effect they often have on surrounding traffic.

Let me explain: I am not in principle against many parts of the GreeNazi-recycling terror currently oppressing us. It would be preferable if we were incentivised to recycle rather than threatened. Some things like metals can be recycled rather simply, and often have been until socialism lent a hand.  And I have always tried to recycle metals, even in the past befriending Gypsies who used to recover about 40% of British Steel’s volume input before they were turned en-masse into Accredited-State-Mendicants, Local-Authority-Authorised-Neighbourhood-Modifiers, and “travelling people”, in the hope of votes for apparatchiks.

Municipal waste-collection vehicles have become recently enormous. Moreover, they spend large time-segments occupying the entirety of a street to the effect that traffic can’t pass either way, while the “refuse disposal associate operatives” and “neighbourhood recycling co-ordinators” stride about in high-visibility-jackets, tipping nugatory amounts of metal, paper or plastic into compartments on their juggernaut, which proceeds at a pace bearing no relation to the street traffic.

I can’t help thinking that the nett contribution to atmospheric CO2 – if that is what the GreeNazis really care about or say they do – is increased due to these recycling activities. You have a large slow-moving diesel truck (indeed, in each Soviet there are many) plus the stalled traffic, engines idling for some minutes, either end of it. The amount of fuel burned while not going anywhere must be high, surely. The later savings in CO2 production due only to the recycling activities must be small in comparison.

Perhaps the whole thing is a gigantic Marxist-Leninist scam-trick, designed to load the economies of MEDCs*** with cost-burdens, so as to keep as large a proportion as possible of the world’s humans on or below the poverty-line…..so the same Marxist-Leninists can have a captive slave-brood to talk about….

Tilting at last year’s windmills

David Davis

“Green Taxes”, on “motorists”…to “fund cuts for families”. Yep, families don’t do any motoring: these proposals will really, really wow them on the remaining reservations where Mondeo Man can still be found clinging onto his natural habitats. People will be wetting their pants with delight, and will get killed in the rush to vote out the gramscofabianazis.

“Zak” Goldsmith, or whatever he’s called right now, ought to be made to live, all the time, in a cottage halfway up a mountain in mid-Wales. No electricity, no gas, no piped water, an “AGA” (whatever that might be), shickens for making methane for the gas-lamps, oh, and I’ve just spotted that he’ll want BROADBAND to talk to forehead-Dave.

You’d really have thought that a “progressive” party would want to withdraw the hem of it’s garment from all this “Green” nonsense, specially after Climategate.

Silly fellows.

I’ve become increasingly convinced that the BBC is part of an international conspiracy about ‘climate change’. It isn’t simply that the reporting is so biased; it’s also because there seems to be a concerted effort to make sure that whatever so-called sceptics discover, for example over Climategate, the warmists bounce straight back with a new set of warped theories or bent facts to support their arguments. The feed of material is relentless, as if it is coming from an organised source. Over the holidays, I’ve been doing some digging on this, and I wanted to share one of my first findings.
A BBC journalist called Peter Thomson is not a household name in this country, but he’s the environment editor of the BBC programme (made jointly with WGBH Boston and RPI) The World, which on a daily basis pushes out climate scare stories to millions of people. Mr Thomson, it turns out, is also the secretary of the Society of Environmental Journalists, a US organisation, the main purpose of which is to spread alarmism through a ‘guide’ about ‘climate change’(masked of course, under the cloak of ‘objectivity’). There can be no doubt that this is a campaigining organisation which wants to achieve political change because it believes that the world needs to reduce CO2 emissions.
Mr Thomson’s activism does not stop there. He’s also a member of the advisory board of the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting, yet another international organisation with alarmist goals. It, too, publishes a guide to how journalists should cover ‘climate change’; in truly chilling McCarthyite terms, the introduction explains how anyone who disagrees with “the consensus” should be ignored and that journalists should frantically pester editors to publish ‘climate change’ scare stories.
So, to recap. One of the BBC’s most senior editors responsible for environmental reporting has formal roles at the epicentre of a worldwide coinspiracy among ‘climate change’ alarmists. Not only that, he is assisting in the international propagation of so-called science communication guides, the main purpose of which are to enlist other journalists to spread the same lies in which he also believes. I suspect there’s a whole phalanx of Peter Thomsons, all feeding the BBC’s insatiable appetite to feed us with moonshine.
Update: Richard North, of EU Referendum, has kindly provided further information about BBC propagandists. Nik Gowing, a prominent – and rather humourless – BBC World Service presenter, has a no-doubt lucrative sideline in chairing ‘climate change’ conferences convened by the alarmist-in-chief, IPCC head Dr Ravendra Pachauri.

Climate terrorism is the next thing

David Davis

I warned people, time and again, about things like ALF, IFAW and the RSPCA. These were the breeding-grounds for the next big fashionable murder-scheme: climate terrorists. Much the same people frequent both camps.

One never, also, really fully bought into the “Islamist” scare. Apart from 9/11 and a few other obvious big set-pieces, the foot-soldiers of that movement are not serious at all. Some of their priests, “scholars” and imams – yes: they’ll get a lot out of a Universial World Caliphate, including all the virgins while they yet live too (when virgins are of most use to a man.) But the footsloggers and suicide bombers: no, to the drivers of this, they are just expendable scum.

Islam will soon learn that it’s been set up as a patsy. It’s not a religion – and that’s a different discussion we will have with it when a more relaxed time comes, and it has grown up a bit. Having read the Koran and commentaries, I can see that it’s a fairly nifty way of husbanding chattels, animals and women, in pre-Enlightenment Lands of harsh climate where there is nothing. But as I said, we’ll have that discussion another time.

For the present though, the Bramwello-Ehrlichite GreeNazi movement is much more dangerous and immediately harmful: all of those in it all seem to believe with messianic fervour what they are saying. They really are prepared to murder, starve and freeze millions to death, down to the meanest polytechnic student among them: there must be some attraction towards violence associated with the promotion of opinions, among this class of person. In time,  I prophesy that they will learn from their mates in ALF how to go about “targetting” private named individuals too.

Liberal rhetoric does not, somehow, carry within it the same degree of utterly certain conviction of rectitude that the GreeNazis’ sort does. Even Islamists of the militant kind appear to be quaking nervous bags of jello by contrast.

These are the dangerous ones of the next generation, following in a grand and highly-studiable tradition of anti-liberal protest followed by “action”. Just watch.

Burn the buggers for heat

Michale Wiining

Copenhagen, green death. I quote:

“The Copenhagen summit next week will generate vast quantities of hot air. It will see 16,500 people coming in from 192 countries. That amounts to 41,000 tons of carbon dioxide, roughly the same as the carbon emissions of Morocco in 2006. Also, the organisers will lay 900 kilometres of computer cable and 50,000 square metres of carpet. More than 200,000 meals will be served and visitors will drink 200,000 cups of coffee — at least that will be organic.”

Who cares what Morocco exhaled in 2006? I didnt go there, I was busy raising food for people. If Alan Sugar did then he can pay.

Why I ask do they need 16,500 people and from so many countries? Is this a free-for-all jamboree or what?  And why was I a farmer on the margins, high up where its hard, not invited? The frosts’s come here where we are, and nobody cares about us,so

we’ll just cope like always every year, so you greens can eff off.

Take a look at this

Michael winning

Over at The Englishman’s Castle it says that some Russian fellows have hacked into the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit, and published all its files. I won’t put them up here in case its actionable but you can have a look for yourself. I’ve scanned down them and if it’s a hoax, it’s pretty convincing and very very detailed!

Climate Change, and what people really think

Update:- Good physics-based demolition of the CO2 myth over at Counting Cats….h/t the Devil

David Davis

I was intrigued just now by something Bishop Hill has done, in placing different strands of opinion about AGW and climate change generally, on a sort of Johari Window.

Here it is, but do read his piece.

COPENHAGEN conference and greeNazis: preparing the world for food-rationing…

David Davis

It implies over at The Englishman’s Castle that the Global-Food-Management-Gestapo, the GFMGs (as they will now henceforth be known – here’s one who’s been hiding in the woodword for some time! Here’s another. They are mass-murderers who will try to invoke global food rationing and soon, starting in nations which they hate) while cleverly appearing to shoot themselves in the foot and perform what appear to be self-contradictory activities, so as to promote the effect of people wanting to minimize the importance of what they do, are actually following a clever and strategically-focussed agenda.

Surely, food is delightful, and absolute food is absolutely delightful? No?

Do follow the links of the Englishman to Lord Stern, English pigswill, and the Affair of the Coptic Pigs. If it was not frightening, it would be funny.

Very interesting, since we can’t form a government and UKIP might have done in 2010

but now it’s been busticated.

David Davis

Someones, and it’s clear that they have supporters in Westmonster, don’t want there to be an English UK Government outside the EU or GramscoFabiaNazism, and we feel that we know who they are but we can all argue. Such an administration would be a single and terrible threat.  The demolition of the BNP can be conducted by the BBC and its accolytes as is known to be how it’s done, for a false aunt-Sally has had to be made to take the blows. The BNP is a socialist pary so they can’t complain. They are being shot by their own side in public, as on Question Time, and we cannot really interfere.

The destruction of the BNP is the happening in a faraway country of which we know nothing. The Enemy-Class buggers created the BNP on purpose and quite deliberately through their “multicultural policies”, they then set it up as a Straw-Man, and proceeded to ritually attack it on the telly. The next target is UKIP which is what they were really exercised about.

There was a small chance that UKIP could do two things: (1) Get us out of the EU without a shooting-war, and (2) unwind some of the more terrifying GramscoFabiaNazi type legislation that we have now about things like cheese-rolling, pipe-cleaners, toys, food, beef, sheep, farmers, food, grain, water, electricity, money, farmers, farmland, what the bastards can grow and when, slaughterhouses, lorries, roads,  who can park where or when, how wide your hedgerow-margins can be for bats, flies, butterflies, caterpillars, beetles and other useless inedibles and so on, oh and BIRDS….

unless Richard Dawkins can convince me otherwise at the WAR CRIMES TRIAL of the RSPB since he is a good and honest man. He can be their Mackenzie-Friend.

Should libertarians suupport terrorists

Michale Winning

No I dodn’t think so, legiron has an interesting look at the people who tried to close an actual power station and complanned of being bitten by tethered policedogs. Well I don’t know, you can stand and jump about further aways.

Perhaps theye didn’t intend to close it really, and perhaps it just was a publicityy stunt. But I don’t know. KNowing some of these people colsely as I do, I fear them now. Maybe my friemf David Davis is right, we will have to kill and eat the bastards after the lights are all out and all other the people are frozen to death. I am going to do a poll, I hope it woks.

I KNOW! Good idea – let’s BOGOF and throw the second one away right now while nobody is looking

David Davis

I can’t believe TESCO are being pressured like this.

Socialism, mining, farming, starvation, destroying the Renaissance, and liberty

David Davis

This post was triggered by a typically-Englishly-humorous, but actually deeply worrying, article by Jeremy Clarkson in the Sunday Times last issue. The comment-thread alerted me to the connection between the deliberately-organised Total-State-destruction of farming in the UK and a supposed grudge held against “the Tories” (who of course are all farmers as is natural) by the GramscoFabiaNazis, in supposed revenge for “The Miners”, in 1984/85.

There is a very observable difference between the behaviours of today’s GramscoFabiaNazi socialists in the UK, and some other quite [in their terms] successful ones historically. By which I mean their projected attitudes towards activities conducted by (still nominally free) individuals in the UK versus their counterparts in previous and current Reichs. The British GFNs are extremely and violently opposed to any sort of activity which might give individuals, even through theft of highly-regulated-State-farm-produce, either access to growth of foodstuffs of any sort, or indeed to the ready supply of a wide range of these unless they are approved, such as boiled turnips without salt. I’m not sure that even North Korea goes this far – either through bureaucratic innefficiency or through practical policy, although we do know that people there have been reduced to eating shoe-leather on occasion. A boiled turnip would have been fallen-upon by entire platoons with gusto in Stalingrad I would imagine, but we do not have to emulate this state of affairs yet, except through our own negligence about the identity of persons in the Enemy Class.

In this essay, I want to talk about the fates and future of traditionally-socialist-hijacked-pasttimes -  such as mining and farming: and by implication also generalised heavy industry and “peasant type” activities, all of which have been prostituted [in diffreent ways it is true] by our Enemy Class and the same previous Enemy-Classes of earlier-brutalised nations such as Germany and Russia.

There will now be three corners, in which teams will play:-

(1) In the red corner, I put up today’s British Deep Greens, New Labour, the Global-Warm-mongerers:

(2) in the green corner, I will place the NSDAP and its Wordsworthian neopastoralist (often British) forebears:

(3) in the blue corner will go Joe Stalin and all his diabolical children, the “people’s” polities the world over.

To confuse everyone, and to keep things exciting, the green corner will play first. Leaving aside the NSDAP’s genocidal policies and openly cheerful frankness about the fate of entire native peoples in the way of its racist expansionist plans for Western Asia, that caucus never wavered in its promotion of the manly virtues of physical toil “on the land”, and the nobility of maximizing farm production – indeed it was forced to, willy-nilly. This was by implication coupled with the racist virtues of the natural counterpart to that exertion, in the bedroom. In fact I believe, reading Joachim Fest fairly recently, that women in the Third Reich actually got a silver cross for having borne eight children or more…or, like the “People’s car”, that was actually to be the intention – just like Gordon Brown’s rehashing of announcements about waiting lists for cancer tests. (I so wish I could write without digressing toooooo much. Trouble is, there so much to say and so little time.) The Third Reich made no bones about the importance of both agricultural and industrial production, and although Deep Green in the roots of its philosophy – organic farming in the modern idiom was formally reinvented there – would not have hesitated to put in the Kripos and SD against people who, say, vandalised crop trials of new varieties of whatever. The nearest Gestapo guillotine would have had to be honed, oiled and hosed down regularly. I also don’t expect there’d have been much public sympathy for miners and those who criminally-photocpied newsletters supporting a strike for more pay, once nuclear fission have become a reality for electricity generation in about, say, 1949 (under pressure as they were, and with 35 million more Russian slaves that would by then be available, this might have been just possible.) Isn’t it interesting, how slavery is the ultimate green energy resource? It’s even “carbon-neutral, well, sort of….the slaves’ food (if any) has fixed CO2 from the air, and is exhaled or defecated, returning said gas for recycling. And you can compost a dead slave or burn it, fairly simply.

Let’s now go to the blue corner. Let’s hear it for Uncle Joe and his Jolly Killers. Uncle Joe’s problem with farming and food-production was not the amount, or the type of permitted stuff, but who was doing it most effectively. In this, he is a transitional death-dealing-GramscoNazi, and he begins to resemble our current staff of DEFRA, those which advise these droids, andof course the ultimate droids who sanction that sort of advice on account of it being “in tune with nature”. Joe-Stalin simply objected to people being able to dispense with the universality of the Soviet State, and also needed a scapegoat-class for the failure of his own Marxist-Leninist planning and execution (bad word there, sorry.) The socialist-realist imagery, of crag-jawed hammer-wielding workers staring fixedly up off-camera-stage left, and pointing, assisted by staggeringly-unshaggable “peasant” wives (I presume) in headscarves bearing bulging wheatsheaves, was probably invented under his tutelage. The results of course were nugatory. I presume Russia can feed itself these days as we do not hear any more, even on the bolgosphere, of how many US and Canadian grain-ships are going there this year. Or perhaps they just buy it from India and Pakistan, and don’t say anything.

The red corner at last contains our own home-grown lefty-droids, the GramscoFabiaNazis. The particular ones which have attracted my interest, and ire, are of course a special subgroup thereof, who know everything there is to know about land management, animal-husbandry, mechanised high-volume-crop-production in an uncertain world, forestry-conservation and woodland management, and of course salt-marshes (very important places these as you will see.) These strangely are the only lefty-droids actually to class as absolute-hunger-droids. Not even Mao, Castro or whoever now terrorises North Korea ever pretended to want to _reduce_ the useful output of given areas of land, let alone actually run schemes called “set-aside”, or actively and publicly encourage insects and woldlife at the expense of human bellies. We know that they want to be “Honestiores” at the expense of everyone else, but even slaves have to eat, and eat good and hard, or else they are of no use as a green energy resource or pool-of-pretty-children-generators. EU directives on agriculture and land-use are merely an excuse: these buggers could ignore every one if they wanted, and nobody will come after them or us. They merely find the stuff convenient to hide their enmity-toward-the-rest-of-us behind. I find it hard to get into their skulls – perhaps we’ll eventuall have to do it the old-fashioned way.

Sorry guys

UPDATE1:- And here’s a little bit of circumstancial evidence for my case: they bastards don’t even rate their own slaves, let alone us, who don’t acknowledge them as our masters.

David Davis

This is going to be an unpleasant posting for me. Indeed it may perhaps mark the point of my break with mainstream libertarians, who favour nothing at all but peaceful engagement with the Enemy Class. But the battle between liberty and evil indivuals who wish it to be suppressed has gone on too long, it is now inconvenient and irritating, the Cause of Liberty is being held up, and I want to trigger some discussion about our desired results.

Libertarians ought to have well-articulated and widely-trawled plan of what to do about members of the Enemy Class. They ought to start to be told that they are identified as inimical to personal liberty in all areas of a person’s life.

The stupid FDR’s stuff in 1943 about “unconditional surrender” was at the time an unproductive and costly mistake, directed accidentally as it was against a people who would probably – just like the Italians – in the mass have been pleased to accept “terms”, being civilised individuals unlike the junta which they tragically failed to not elect in 1933. We could stillhave tried and hung trash like Frank, Frick, Rosenberg, Seyss-Inquart, Himmler, Goebbels, the other chappies, even the Führer himself if it had come to a deal. The Jews and all the rest of those exterminated would still have been vindicated, and Stalin might not even have got his unjust deserts.

We might also not even have needed to have been tricked into destroying Dresden on Stalin’s orders, and thus not have trodden into seemingly eternal and embarrassingly deep shit because of it. (It riles me, you can see. Germany did NOT need to elect Hitler in the first place. We are equally at fault for allowing our Enemy Class to gain ascendancy while we had been busy. We have even less excuse for our negligence than Germans in 1933, for we live in a nominally-liberal society.)

Nurtured in the bosom of benign capitalism, yet schooled in the dark perverted lights of false science, the Enemy Class of today is sadly not like the semi-hezitant-Nazis of 1933 at all. It is far, far more confident and hubristic.

We libertarians are too fixed on the universal provision of Natural Rights and individual liberty for all. In pursuing this admirable goal, we neglect at our peril its mortal enemies, who have pursued their own “Project” for centuries, are doing so now, are now extremely able communicators and media-mobsters, and will continue so to be and to do.

They have “learned lessons” from the fates of their friends, in Germany in the 1930s to 1945, in the USSR from 1917-1989, from Red-Ted Heath their friend, from Harold Wilson who was not serious enough, and from Ceaucescu whose fate they do not want to undergo.

They will, from this day forward, never change, never apologise, and never surrender. Living and recently-dead-examples in no special order? Polly Toynbee, George Monbiot, Al Gore, Michael Moore, Baroness Scotland, Douglas Hogg, the BBC top brass, Castro (who at least died), Madeleine Bunting, Sunny Sandalwood, Kim Long-Il (ditto), that woman in the EU who wants to shut “right wing” political blogs down, the other guy who forces toxic defective lighting on us, and so on. Form an orderly queue, chaps, to convert one of more of these to liberalism, starting now.

Can you do it?

Can you?

Our objective can’t be cleanly reached in any even vaguely reasonable timescale, if there are intelligent, highly-educated and well-resourced humanoids who openly and sincerely mean to impose the opposite case by force if need be. What, after all, is “choice-editing”, for God’s sake?

These buggers are in it from times primeval in their lives, probably from swaddling-clothes in fact: they are collectivists deliberately, and they deliberately do collectivist things to masses and masses of unwilling or too-busy-to-do-anything-about-it-people. And then, when parts of the Project go pear-shaped, they get parachuted out to other parts less exposed to our ire. Sacked Prime-Monsters who go on $100,000-speechmaking junkets are another case in point.

We can hold conferences till we are blue in the face. In fact I will raise this very matter at a frnge-meeting which I will try to set up on 24th/25th October at the Libertarian Alliance’s annual binge in London.

We can publish stuff till the Finnish paper-forests are razed. (Indeed, you ought to weigh the tonnage of paper which the Libertarian Alliance alone produced from the 70s to the 2000s, until http://libertarian.co.uk came fully on-stream.)

Libertarians have blogs – there are probably hundreds out there, mostly talking to each other. Libertarian blogs’ blogrolls are among the longest you will find anywhere in the internet. They are usually a good read, unlike the collectivists’ attempts: perhaps we are cleverer or wittier or better educated (I doubt it) writers, or we read more things faster in wider areas, and so write better.

But all the while, the collectivists and other GramscoFabiaNazis seem to gain ground. They now openly flaunt the levers of State Power,  brandishing joyfully and exultantly the hammers-and-anvils-of-compulsion, dressed warmly and cuddlily in the clothes of caring, security, safety, community-concern and the like. They will never admit they are unfathomably evil by design, nor will they ever backtrack.

I do not, any more, believe that even a minority of them are capable of honest conversion to liberalism and liberty of humans all as sovereign individuals. Their potential rewards for the successful completion of their “Project”, of total and eternal human enslavement, to the benefit of the chosen Honestiores and believers, exceed in their eyes the importance of the general destruction of Man’s prospects in The Universe.

After all, why ought they to care about that? They think we all die in the end, and that there Is Nothing After. If they get to be Earthly Lords – for even a little time – to whom we always and everywhere bow the knee: and if we are forced to offer our sexiest daughters (and sons?) for their shagging, in return for our paltry rations of saltless boiled vegetables and water, eaten and drunk in the freezing darkness: then, what is it to them? Nothing.

They will have taken /revenge/ – for what? Here are five reasons for vengeance ‘pon the rest of us that incense the Enemy Class. And I could go on after…

(1) Revenge for the slow but sure concatenation of events that followed Magna Carta -

(2) Revenge for the Rennaissance -and for printing -

(3) Revenge for the Industrial Revolution (a wrong name) which took millions of us out of their mud-bound, sword-flatting, oak-hard-grip -

(4) Revenge for agricultural-surpluses -which meant that 98% of us didn’t have to spend more than all our lives simply trying to grow food and eat some -

(5) Revenge for towns and cities where poverty first became hideous at last, for scientific and medical progress, with Christian Charity (not fake ones, they’d have been appalled, specially the “poor”) showed what would be achieved instead -

If they’d thought harder about it, they’d even have been decrying and execrating the invention of the WHEELED PLOUGH. This brought the rise of the “New Towns” from about AD 1050 to 1400. Newport, Neustadt, Neuville, Newton-le-Willows, Newcastle, Novgorod. Clearly hotbeds of anti-Righteous sedition and revolution, all of them. I don’t however see George Monbiot and Paul Ehrlich criticising it though.

I have said before that we have to have a serious, and published plan about what is intended for those of the Enemy Class who do not recant, and who will not recant. There will be many. Furthermore, many will recant who are not sincere, and who will intend to prosecute their evils after recantation. These will need specially to be identified.

People who oppose liberty for sovereign individuals – the utterly individual, contractual, trust-based, one-to-one, fully-atomised kind of libery that Lords so hate and fear, must be made to feel that we are as serious about promoting this kind of liberty as they are about demolishing it and replacing it with collective liberties for masses, handed out by said Lords as acts of dispensation.

The time has come to draw the line.

The Guardian still can’t get freedom, liberty and enough to eat for ordinary poor people

This still tries to relativise his legacy, seen by neopastoralists in a rather negative light. Do they want billions to be able to eat or not? You tell me.

Meat is murder is green power: another blogger speaks out

David Davis

We had a go at the objectively-wicked GreeNazi-VeggiStapo, the anti-supermarket and anti-electricity-for-all outfit, a while ago, here. We opined that since they contemplate electoral defeat in a few months’ time, they are trying to accelerate their program of universal death for all plebs except themselves. They can try to hit  _four_ targets at once: Tesco – other supermarkets – the very idea that you can just buy all the food you like and can afford – and electricity generation whether green or otherwise.

But the massed divisions of the Trotsko-Gorgotroid  _will_  fight back! The election _will_ be rigged  insofar as they can do so having failed to prevent it ocurring at all, for whatever “emergency reasons” they can contrive. So do _not_ be under any illusions as to who will win (it does not make a lot of difference in any case.)

Look, I know it’s not really “polite” to lift and quote wholesale from other blogs, especially friendly ones, but the quality of the drops of boiling Sulphuric Acid, aimed at our mortal enemies the veggies, the vegans, the meatless-world-pan-hominid-starvationists,  the awful and wicked writers of British State GCSE “science” “exam papers”, the sandal-wearers and the chickenshit-fermenters, that you can almost _taste_ in this, deserve wider circulation.

Here’s the great man:-

A bright and hot day today, too hot to be in the house so I’ve been playing ‘Herbicidal Maniac’ in the garden. It’s the only place you can wield sharp things without being arrested (so far). I haven’t been out there much for the last two years because the weather’s been lousy, and it shows. My patio is now a foot wider and I’ve only hacked away at one side of it. An excellent crop of grass this time though, and the slug population is thriving. It’s become quite the little nature reserve, but it’s in danger of turning into a miniature safari park if the rain continues. The pond plants need severe trimming because the fish have to swim on end at the moment but that has to wait.

Now it’s cooled down enough to sit near the computer, I find LiveJournal is working properly again. I wonder what they were meddling with last night? Anyway, time to browse the news.

I see JuliaM beat me to this one, but I laughed so much I had to comment on it anyway. It’s in the Daily Mail so have a large pinch of salt handy.

I had no idea that waste meat could be turned into electricity. I wonder how it’s done? Some years ago, I was involved with a project to ferment waste meat products to dispose of them. It came to nothing because the stench it would produce meant that nobody, anywhere, would stand for it. You think having a power station in your backyard is bad? Imagine having a meat-rotting plant installed there. So I wonder if they incinerate it, in which case it would take quite an energy input to burn such a wet product, or what else they might do. Or is it all an invention of a bored reporter? I’ve no idea.

The militant veggies are up in arms, naturally, at the idea they might be boiling their lentils using dead cow power. I don’t think it breaks any vegetarian ethics myself – the cows aren’t dying specifically to power the grid, the meat that’s being used would otherwise have ended up in landfill and nobody would have said the last rites over it. It’s past-sell-by-date meat which supermarkets would be prosecuted for selling. Unmarked mass grave or power station are the only options left to it.

See, this sort of thing is bound to happen if you a) tell people that eating meat is evil and b) insist on putting prices up to deter us slavering carnivores. The meat goes in the bin. It doesn’t get pieced back together and reanimated.

There’s something I delight in explaining to vegetarians when they tell me my bacon roll is tantamount to supporting the Highland Clearances or Auschwitz. If I didn’t eat it, how many pigs would be alive today?

Their answer: all of them.

My answer: none.

Farmers keep pigs, cows and sheep to sell as meat. That’s what they’re for. It’s a business, not a rescue centre. If everyone in the UK stopped eating meat tomorrow, every one of those animals would be dead by the day after. They can’t be shipped abroad alive so they’d be on long trains of death on their way to the Spanish, French, and anyone else who’ll have them at rock-bottom prices. The only ones alive would be prime breeding stock, and they’d be out of the country faster than the human stock is coming in.

The veggie argument usually goes that once all the animals are off the land, we can grow loads more cereal crops. The thing is, large swathes of land in this country grow nothing but grass. Cereal crops are easier than animals to grow. They don’t tend to escape, and they don’t line the pockets of vets. You don’t need to pay a slaughterhouse to kill them, you just drive around in a combine and pick them up. Easy. Storage is much easier for cereal products, shelf life is much longer, and unless you’re susceptible to potato blight or mould, you’re far less likely to have to worry about disease transmission. So why do we have huge areas of grassland covered with cattle and sheep? Because nothing else grows there.

We can’t eat grass. Sheep can. We can eat sheep. It’s not a complex equation.

With no animals, we’d have mountains covered in grass and nothing else. You can’t even build on them because they’re not in pleasant or accessible places. Without energy-rich meat products, we’d need to convert every scrap of arable land to ceral production. So it’s bye-bye badgers, foxes and rabbits, bye-bye to birds, bye-bye to all wildlife because their habitat will be a wheat field now. You have an animal sanctuary? Clear it, plough it, we need the crops. Even then, the low energy yield of these products means we can’t possibly grow enough.

I suppose we could put wind farms on the unused land, with a hundred tons of concrete under each steel post, topped with a mechanism composed of toxic metals that has to be maintained and repaired and will eventually break and need replacement, using big trucks that do about five miles to the gallon and pump out pollutants into every cereal field they pass… sounds great, eh?

If the whole country decided never to eat animals again, the environment is screwed. No wildlife. No parks. No scenery. It’s not possible to feed the current population with the amount of arable land we have here. Give it a year and we’ll be eating each other. Immigrants will come here for a ‘job in a restaurant’ and never be heard from again.

So worrying about where out-of-date meat goes is nothing short of hysteria. There’s a lot of it about these days. If it really is being used to generate electricity, good. At least it’s not being wasted. At least the animal it came from didn’t die in vain. There’s no sense in blaming the supermarkets. They don’t buy stuff to throw away, they buy it to sell. If they have to throw it away, that’s a loss and they don’t like that. They aren’t doing it on purpose.

Animals die to feed me. I know it, I’ve worked with animals and watched them die. No, it’s not pleasant but I am an omnivore and that’s the way it is – if I’m going to live, once in a while, something else is going to die. Do I feel a twinge of guilt about a bacon sandwich? Nope. Pigs are omnivores too and they wouldn’t bat an eyelid if my corpse was dumped in front of them. They’d just tuck in. If I wasn’t quite dead, they wouldn’t concern themselves with EU regulations or humane killing or whether I was kosher or not. Pigs are not cuddly things, they are big and powerful and capable of being very nasty indeed. Don’t annoy them. Cows, likewise, are not friendly pets. If they don’t like you, they’ll kill you and they won’t even eat you. Just stomp you flat.

Perversely, the fact that I eat meat is what keeps those animals alive. With no meat eaters there’d be no market and hence no animals. They wouldn’t be set free to roam the land because then they’d eat crops. They’d all die.

Vegetarians be warned – if you ever succeed in eradicating meat from the menu, I’ll eat you.

I have a few bottles of Chianti and a bag of fava beans here, just in case.

Wind turbines: The CPRE buggers are skirting round the issue…

…of whether these objects are the product of minds which are innately evil and wicked, and are thus specifically designed to destroy liberal institutions or the means to run them, reduce populations to subsistence-farming, attenuate industrial and economic growth, and enslave, or whether they merely have “visual impact on the landscape”

…and the education issues are worse – my older boy complains at school, over /why/ they have to “study” __global warming__ as an anthropogenic effect, __every year__

David Davis

Ed Milibugger is a GramscoFabiaNazi. He is clever (didn’t he go to Oxford, blast him? Must have got three “A”s at least or even four – what a bloody waste of an intellect which he could have used in retailing or mining or space research.) Therefore, if he was not a GramscoFabiaNazi, then he would be doing a proper job in The Royal Bank Of Scotland or a factory in Leeds. Or perhaps he’d be running a small chain of successful pound-shops in East London. Brick Lane would do for a first one, then he could go into Hackney, Bethnal Green, Stoke Newington and Shoreditch and Limehouse, selling cheap goods to people who want to buy them. Then, he could set up a few in Nottingham, Leicester (better be careful there, old fella!) Derby, Sheffield, Bradford (later maybe!) Bootle (let’s have a punt on that one eh?) and so on. He’s Jewish, so he could have done anything, and thus so he ought to understand why retailing is an intensely moral and good calling, inside the Canon of Western Philosophy.

But he’s a politician: what is it that comes over very, very clever people, whose minds could match up to the scale of the Universe and try to comprehend it, and so easily corrupts them to do evil with such deeply-held conviction?

(What went wrong with the bugger? Where did we fail? Were we asleep?)

The battle about Wind Turbines (which is to say, big-corporatist-statist nationalised plans to build many thousands of vast and useless ones on other people’s land, for no valuable result) ought to be brought back to whether we are to be persuaded that “global warming” is all our fault, or whether – as we /do/ require more and more energy, the obvious solution – nuclear – is the correct one.

As a libertarian, I am not at all against individual householders and, say, people such as farmers, setting up their own wind turbine with their own money…if they decide they want one. I am sure that the same companies that fall over themselves to lick the arses of ZanuLieBorg  will make “small” turbine systems, say about 10-50Kw, for anyone who wants them. If those who say that power companies will buy “surplus power” from such private producers are honest, then we have a win-win-situation. the GreeNazis have to say they are satisfied, and those who have “small” turbines can then try to get back into the money after installing the things, if it’s possible: if not, then they do have some “free” power (Nothing of course is totally free.) Factories can produce more alternators and more spiral-wound-pipe (I expect that’s what the steel-type is that holds the things up) and everyone is happy….

….except Ed Milibanana. I wonder why?

But if the CPRE want to be a player in the ideological battle for the landscape, then they ought to stick to whether the things are any use at all, and then – knowing the facts – oppose the things on mathematical and physical grounds of truth. “Visual Impact” considerations will not turn the faces of committed political enemies of The West – like Ed Milibanana -  away from installing the turbines and using our money to do it. The CPRE has to face the facts about what these things are really for, and why they are being dumped all over us.

The Landscape of the British Isles is almost 100% manufactured and managed anyway: it got to look like that through centuries of adjustment by Man. The fact the the GramscoFabiaNazis pretend to like it as it is [for "Ramblers"], while looking as though they fail to understand how it got to be what it is through the Hand of Men for generations, is neither here nor there.

Libertarians would say that the property-owners should decide what is set up. if the State-Wind-Power-Installation-Bribery-Service  [SWPIBS] was removed (as we will, when we Come To Power) then I doubt if we will see any more of these monstrosities.

It is nothing to do with “green energy”: it is to do with trying to reduce what they believe is an enemy-civilisation (us) to the Prison Of The Endarkenment.

Milibanana is actually right, but now, nobody will believe him: his party has done too much damage to what he purports to support, also favours “disarmament”, and won’t buy his soldiers any kit (so that they can die.)

David Davis

Here’s the milibanana on Afghanistan. there will be more about this later after I have done chores.

More later, here it is:-

I have concluded my household wife-imposed duties, for the present.

Now then: most British  libertarians are against our being involved in wars in Asia – or anywhere for that matter. They say that the UK has no “vital interest” in that region. I disagree absolutely, and the principal proponents of the “no involvement” school of thought know this quite well.

I expect to be aggressively excoriated in the next week, as a result of this opinion, mainly by friendly libertarians, some of whom even know me. Comments from all sides will be welcome, it makes life exciting.

Although “fundamentalist Islamists”, the “Taliban”, (whatever he is – I think he publicly hung a Wireless Tele Vision Set a few years ago for capital crimes – good bloke then) and “Al Quaeda” (whatever she is – I think she has a David Frost type TV channel like Big Brother?) do represent a threat to liberal Western civilisation, and certainly a threat to its spread (which is a Crusading-Duty and an obligation laid upon us) they do not represent such an immediate short-term threat as home-grown GreeNazis.

I have spoken about these latter kinds of Green-trons before, but they will have in the end to be sorted out separately: it is a different sort of war, and more tragic, for we will have to assault or restrain our own people, who grew up with us and whom we trusted, and whom we even shagged, sometimes, because we thought they loved us for ourselves. Sex makes war and conflict harder later – ask any divorcee.

[Don't even get tempted, while drunk, to shag willing pretty hippie Green women who invite you back after a political argument which they say they enjoyed - you will live to regret it.]

However, if we leave this Taliban bloke untouched and unexterminated, then owing to the nature of state structure currently in Pakistan – and probably in other neighbouring outfits too in the medium term –  he will get his hands on far more powerful WMDs than he has at the moment, and our task of doing what the Milibanana says will be 1,000% more difficult. I believe that Baluchistan, a large tribal gathering of some 120 million people, struggling right now to keep some kind of writ running in parts of itself, has missiles called something like “Shitbag-3″ , or some such resonant acronym. We will, later, face the possibility of actual anihilation, as opposed to daily humiliation.

If we do nothing in Afghanistan in these next two decades, then the kind of spectacle that the BBC is pleased to send you, underlining its policy-position that you should “get out” (and join places like the USSR – a failed state –  in ignominy) will be amplified a hundredfold: in Baluchistan, Kashmir, Persia and places to the North and West. Probably in Burma and Malaya too if you are not careful. India will probably hold out, and the Chinese, properly unscrupulous in the /correct sense/ of the word, will stand no nonsense in Tibet and other near places.

Milibanana’s problem as Foreign Secretary (is he still?) is that he knows what is being fought for as he in an intelligent man. He’s even a Jew, for f***’s sake – so he ought to know what I and he and our enemies are talking about. However, his entire policical historiography, and his whole educational upbringing,  is based in the belief about the iniquitousness of Western liberal Classical civilisation, and how it must be aborted and attenuated at all costs, as he is a paid-up GramscoFabiaNazi.

It’s not what he can’t say, that I compain about – it’s the way he can’t say it.

He can’t say, in front of his masters, that this war is a small, tragic and necessary part of the defence of Western Civilisation, for his masters in the GramscoFabian movement won’t allow it to be said on the Wireless Tele Vision.

Because he can’t now, any more, fall back on the simple truth – which is outlined above – he has to appear to panic at the severe (by our standards today…!…think of the Somme – 19, 247 killed on 1st July 1916 alone…) loss of life among British Soldiers – some of whom might even have been his constituents. He has to put, hastily and desperately, some sort of manichaean gloss on what is by our standards really bad news. He can’t, in fact, bury it, much as he’d love to: he has to say something approximating to the truth, but he can’t put it the way it ought to be. (He’s also terrified of what he thinks “Muslim voters” will do to his party at home here…but he need not be, for as I said, the British GreeNazis are far, far more potentially lethal to him and to us than anything Islam could even dream of.)

As regards, too, the sad fate of the eight British soldiers who died in one day just now, there could be a remedy.

British modern people are not accustomed to these kinds of Wireless Tele Vision reports. Every death is an individual sorrow for the man’s family. From this there is no escape.

We are not like Stalin, the archetypal Mark-III-GramscoFabiaNazi personified, who said famously “one death is insignificant”, but being ideologues like him we knew what he meant – that did not make him right however. We deplore both the deaths and also the effects of these deaths on the political morale of the UK. (OK some of us are at leats minimal-Statists and we think the British got it least wrong in terms of defining stateness…) Charges could be laid of course at the door of the present UK government, for both hating the Armed Forces for what they represent and for their ethos of loyalty to what they undertook to do.

But in the end, this Taliban bloke is getting his munitions form somebody. That somebody can’t be far away or we might have noticed. Perhaps it’s Russia. I would not evince surprise, as their governments always cheat and lie (more fool the Russian people for failing in the last 30 years to resist more, when they could.)

But perhaps it’s not Russia. I also don’t think it’s China or Japan or India or Iran or Korea or South Africa, or Israel, or Pan-Arabia, and the like.

The point of having Nuclear weapons is to be able to point them, in public of course, at someone that is upsetting your foreign policy objectives – providing he does not have either any, or as many as you do. Therefore, whoever is supplying this Taliban man with his IEDs, and thingies that blow up Land-Rovers, ought to be able to be threatened. Otherwise, there is no point in having sumbarines that can deliver such a weapon to anywhere in the world, form anywhere unknown.

I can’t really see whay we could have any problem in stopping these unpleasant deaths among our soldiers, whose only mission is to peacefully protect the longer-term-future-survival of Western liberal Civilisation.

Like we did over eradicating slavery, for about 200 years [ - AND we had to apoligise -  we WILL get you GramscoFabiaNazi bastards...one day...and you WILL pray to be sorry, and we will not let you.]

Liberals like us want to be merciful people, but the quantity of mercy (strained or unstrained) that you will now require, when we find you finally, has become too great for the market to provide – so you will have to make do with what will be available.

You yourselves, GramscoFabiaNazis, keep on trumpeting – especially in your text books for students – that “the market” “distributes goods and resources imperfectly”…so now you can eat your own words at last.

Wrong analysis of rural recession crime

David Davis

Read about it here.

The reason you te more crime in rural areas in the Dark Ages is that there’s fewer people about.

Pubs are all closed and dead because of no-smoking and no vertical drinking.

No possible amount of police you could deploy, owing to logistic problems, could solve the fact that if you have a £15,000 Chippendale Commode under ZanuLieBorg, and you live in an isolated house in Much-Binding-in-the-Marsh, then some hood will remove it from you.

The solution is not “more Police”.  This is the typical socialist solution, as propounded by the Tories. I do /not want to/ live in a country which has “more police”. This represents failure, a Falling from Grace for a civilisation, and an suggestion that people can only be made “good” by force and threats: the definition of “good” also suffers as a result, as it becomes artificial and at the whim of the police-paymasters.

This way, crime will not be solved until the entire nation consists of “Police”, and we shall all be watching each other.

The solution is /better people/.

Then, political parties will self-hucksterise on the platform of “fewer police”…or even “no police”.

I would like to live in a society where there was no need for “the police”. They sort of morph, into, well, you know, worse kinds of police. And the more money for police, the faster they morph.

/Better people/ will come into being automatically, when socialism fails to be taught as a /MEME/ in “courses”.

Dolphin-types not so nice and cuddly after all: socialism as baby-killing, and the banning by a school of black-faced border-Morris-Dancers

David Davis

Nature is (as my old-fella used to say) is “red in tooth and claw”. I can’t ever seem to figure out why the lefty-Nazi-conservationist-neopastoralist-barbarians always idolise the worst and most bloodridden predators.

Well may you squeal, neocon! Ill get you next time...

Well may you squeal, neocon! I'll get you next time...

…Or do they somehow recognise their own kin?

Here’s a new meme:-

“Socialism is de-civilisation and baby-killing”.

Here’s the de-civilisation bit. A Kent school has disinvited Morris Dancers of a tradition in which you black up your face with charcoal, as a disguise.

“Is farming the root of all evil?” – the buggers are really having a go at us now…

….they’re ‘avvin-a-luff… gotta be.

David Davis

Having read a Jared Diamond book a few years ago, I began to think the bugger was suspect at the time (Guns, germs and Steel.) Now I know he’s a member of the Enemy Class after all.

New inside look at OCR ICT education…….. …..First hand experience!

Peter Davis

I did this last year at my school, and you could just tell that this task was thought up by the government.  May I point out that the task was to create a video in Windows Movie Maker about recycling.

I think that, well yes, its fair enough that we have to make a video, as we would learn the skills to be able to do it…..But do we have to do it on ‘Recycling’?

Anyway, this was my submission for OCR nationals Unit 23. It got a very high mark, and it took me 20 minutes. I hope you enjoy it … or maybe not.

Yes, you saw it: this is what your children do in year-9 at secondary school it the UK (for foreign readers, this is 13/14 year-olds.)

Blogeditor says:-

Something to do with this stuff would have been more fun…

(…but most of the poor buggers don’t even know what these things are, let alone that they might have even existed.)

Yesterday I said that Thierry Djanogly (a footballist?) whatever he is called, should have his gates, because in the coming socialist-driven-wished-for-endarkenment, then we all should, as this is “fair”. Here is another idea.

David Davis

Whoops has hit on what I’d say was an unlooked-for advantage of high-rise tower blocks, in the coming Endarkenment.

(Here’s what I said about Thanogly-Djanogly. Perhaps he ought to be a foot ball-ist, with a name like that, not a politician? Look, he needs his gates, ‘coz people don’t like him, or else he thinks they don’t.

But you’d better hope your assaulters have not got artillery of any kind, I suppose. That the lifts might be put out of action by it, is the least of your worries! What if the building falls “at terminal speed”? (Load of pilotsfortruth9/11.org crap). How will you get out?

How about a Motte-and-Bailey castle, or better, a proper one, or even the really really strategically-focussed ones, such as was built by Edward I, like this one? (It’s about two and a half hours down the road from here on Richard Brunstrom’s cameraed-roads.) This was his contracting-engineer.

There’s still time to buy something if you have the dosh. Sell your yacht. Now, and take it in cash, gold or silver bullion (not “money”).

Anna Bramwell (who he?), environmentalism, and fascism

David Davis

Scary, scary stuff.

It confirms all I have ever suspected about GreeNazis and environmentalists.

I am indebted to davidncl for pointing to it, somewhere else, I think on Mr Eugenides, somewhere on his comment thread for this piece here.

Mr Eugenides on Madeleine Bunting (who she?) is a must-read, now.

Libertarian Alliance Blast-from-the-Past, No:1 … More on metrication, the EU, and British home-grown fascists

David Davis

(I originally wrote this on 18th October 2008. But some of the points raised deserve a new airing in the light of recent events in Parliament and how these relate to fascism and the Enemy-Class-Hatred of all things moral and English.)

Earlier today I just flagged this up. I now have time to say something. (The original post is not only lower down your page but also here.)

The EU, with its usual disarming frankness about objectives, has gone on record as saying that it’s not really important if people here (or by inference elsewhere) go on using pre-metric, which is to say “Imperial” measurements. For one thing of course, these are still commonly encountered in all sorts of places on the continent of Europe.

The real subtext of the assault on “Imperial” measurement use in the UK is of course, and always has been, ideological and manichean. It is obvious, now that we know the facts. Those kinds of people who so publicly have championed “metrication” (and that also included the quite un-necessary and politically-motivated “decimalisation” of our currency) share a fully philosophical objective: what is this objective, then?

It is the exemplary punishment of Britain: especially, it encompasses an objective of the destruction of a place which they view as “England” – together with all its customs and traditions which act as a sort of conservative glue. The whole idea of “England”, historically, is essentially conservative. England’s history returns almost like clockwork, to a theme of looking to tradition and custom (as understood at the time of decision about the future) to decide what to do. This is mortally dangerous to gangsters like Lenin, Marx, Stalin, Hitler, Gordon Brown, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Il (who will continue to remain dead), Huggy the Chav, Ken Livingstone, Castro (who has been dead for some time) and whoever that bugger was who ran the Sendero Luminoso (I hope there won’t be a pop group called that any time soon.)

This stuff, this conservative glue, hard to create over the centuries, but easy to abolish with a Gestapo-sweep of A4 paper containing “enhanced statutory requirements”, holds a free people in friendships and relationships in a comfortable place, and confers order on civilisation. This of course is quite inimical to the fascist/stalinist concept of “more and faster change”, beloved of “management” “consultants”, or one of the other ones, which is “best practice in health and safety”.

Most importantly, it is because an essentially conservative civilisation is all that stands in the way of the intended destruction of what helps ordinary people to live and get better and better as time advances – that destruction which is crucial for the survival of wreckers, murderers, fascists, socialists and other theoretical idealists who have never inhabited anything more important (such as a factory or a mine or a ploughed field) than a room at a university. These latter groups know, with every fibre of their being, that their usefulness and significance diminishes visibly and fast, with the arrival of every person who can make his own way and decisions in his life.

You can’t, if you are a statist, allow people essentially to better themselves and their lives…and then you just go home and grow stuff or watch TV. The hog won’t slaughter itself.

There will come a time when they won’t need you or your “help”, and they will be able to know it. If they are armed, then you are toast already (so you’d better have got their guns off them quite early on.) If they are unarmed, then you will still have a difficult time, and you may have to shoot the right people (they didn’t in this case), but you may get through if you can manufacture a scare or two, preferably together, and hobble them further.

I think that British statists, being cleverer and more (what Stalin called) “serious” than continental ones (their weather is better and the food and girls are nicer, so they don’t really have to concentrate so hard) are far, far more finely-tuned to the threat of incipient liberty arising in a population, than their European conterparts.

I shudder to think with what ruthless efficiency the Police authorities in the UK would have complied with Nazi orders to round up people and have them “resettled”. Anti-Imperial-measure-police-and-Soviet-staff are merely taking a “directive” at its face value, and applying it to the letter, together with their own ingrained (ought I to say “institutionalised”?) racism against a civilisation which they (rightly) see as the one which has done most to try to make them as redundant as possible.

Fred Bloggs

I just designed yet another picture today, I think you’ll like it:

The Miliplanter and pot plants: what a business, eh? And a rant about leftyism and surly (I meant to type curly)-headed black-haired actors in Georgian jackets…and that’s just the men.

David Davis

First people query your expenses, which you have taken so much trouble to get to be defined as “within the rules”, and then you die.

POT PLANTS…. Jesus H Christ, you really just  __have to__  laugh at these people. The Miliplanter is clearly not serious at all.

It’s a tremendously fun hoot actually – I mean, just look at this prize piece:-

ur files also how Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary, over-claimed for both his council tax and mortgage bills.

Alistair Darling, the Chancellor, is revealed to have changed his official “second home” designation four times in four years.Meanwhile, the Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, spent so much on pot plants at his constituency home that his gardener questioned whether they were necessary “given [the] relatively short time you’ll be here”.

Meanwhile, as we say ‘ere, ” ‘yer-av-ta-luff”. (Also, “Icelandtalks” seems to have linked to us, somehow, I can’t tell how..but… Hi there, welcome to Gordon Brown’s world of terrorist banks. eh?)

See our earlier today piece about socialists and trough-pigging. I mean, if They-Stalinists would just stick to sex, I would not mind so much. The problem of today is that they try to shyste so much money. Money costs. Sex is free.

Sex is actually quite nice, and nobody gets killed (see Pol Pot) as any self-respecting proper Tory Toff will be able to tell these jumped-up-University-lecturers. You go out, you call in one of the cow-girl-daughters of one of your more taciturn and upright Yeoman-retainers – mind that you choose the one with pretty boobs and hips so it’s quick for you and her and nicer for you (make sure __also__ that she’s the one that won “Miss Best Bum” at the last “harvest-maid-fete”) – you shag her in the 6th upstairs-bathroom while the Lady of the Manor is instructing the Servants Below Stairs on flower-arranging, and you then just tell her to go back to her duties. Quite simple, she’s all right, you’re all right. If she has the brass-neck to produce a child, then you get it “avowed” by one of the young men who live in one of the hovels near hers, and you’re sorted. No money needs to change hands.

Expenses problem solved: there aren’t any.

Socialism, eat your heart out, you never got a system like that did you.

But Karl Marx f*****d his wife’s maid, and their son worked for the Great Northern Railway, blamelessly for many years. Michael Caine says not a lot of people know that.

Perhaps the dude Marx was a Conservative after all.

LEFTIES! D’you really think we live like that? No, I thought not. Then stop the BBC doing those awfully naff Thomas Hardy-type costume-dramas, and selling the twattish rubbish round the planet to traduce us.

Daphnia Racing

Fred Bloggs

While studying for my upcoming Jolobial warmin,  Political correctness, Biology exams, I got so bored by the “Science”, that I decided to to do an experiment of my own.

The experiment consisted of catching some Daphnia (Water fleas to the non-scientists) and some suprised water snails (they had nothing to do with the experiment, they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, they’d walk away from trouble, honest.) The Daphnia were the exposed to different colour LEDs, so that we could see how they reacted.

The first time they were shown /green/ light, the Daphnia immediately got as far away from it as possible, but when they were shown it again, they flocked towards it, which leads me to belive that the were quickly indoctrinated by the GreenNazis while my back was turned.

While seeing the Daphnia crowd around a white LED, I had an idea, Daphnia racing!

If anyone wants to invest in this upcoming sport, please send me all your bank details, pin numbers, credit/debit cards, phone numbers, house deeds or unnecessary children, and I will be glad to invest them in your name until they’re gone. Honest.

These dudes are far more dangerous than deeply-respected scholars wearing silly hats, and…

…we have not seen the last of them yet.

David Davis

GreeZanis and AmilaR-nights-scumbags probably represent the largest single danger to ordinary civilisation in The West. The Muslims have been set up as a stalking-horse, to divert real anger from these other guys instead. They should rebel amd perhaps seek damages from this administration.

Shopping is the problem

David Davis

Samizdata I think has articulated the anti-G20, anti-everything problem first and best.

“Going Forward”, we must all upgrade to living in caves and animal skins: we must go forwards to our natural state as hunter-gatherers, of fruit, and of healthy greens. Then there will be no need for shops. Our guts can re-evolve back to 300 feet long, we can go back to quadrupedalism, our brains will shrink, and we shall as true animals progress accordingly.

And then, when the next asteroid comes, we shall die. Like the others…all over the observable Universe. God is merciful and Great….scumbags. What was it she called it…? “Requiem for Man”? You know! That strange unreadable woman whom everybody says they hate….(no, not Margaret Thatcher: she was a chemist, you know.)

And poor old Polly Toynbee still does not get it…h/t The Devil. John Redwood thinks she’s deranged, but I guess she will let it pass, and will fly to her house in Italy untroubled…

Earth Hour analysis by type of protest, and how to recycle Business Cards

This has really cool maps and graphics.

David Davis

And this comes via The Landed Underclass, and is quite amusing entertainment for a Saturday afternoon.

A good old British 1950s sports car…

…it’s just the lack of a couple of nice chrome-plated bumpers that spoils the look.

David Davis

Bet it goes like a greased pig through a sausage-factory full of angry butchers, though. And yes Tony, the BMW 507 is very nice. But I could never afford one.

And where are the two bolt-on spotlights to go, then?

And where are the two bolt-on spotlights to go, then?

…..and did “EARTH HOUR” make any difference in California….

David Davis

….at 20.30 last Saturday? You decide.

Very good analysis of how Leila Deen has damaged the immediate future of liberty in UK…

…by “And there was me thinking” ….

David Davis

Perhaps that’s what Deen intended to do all along. I have always said these people are dangerous and know exactly what they are doing, and that we will see more of them and worse. Libertarians will have to have a policy about what should be done with such people after victory. I cannot imagine sharing a planet with them: some other solution will have to be found.

The woman in the Daily Mail is particularly bad, and ought to know better. Perhaps she might like to live inNnorth Korea. For ever. Like some have to do.

And, to round off, what a load of feminazi crap from Rowenna Davis at the Grauniad, about the “bloke-o-sphere.” Thanks to “And there was me thinking” for hat-tipping me off to this fem***z* august woman journalist. Perhaps it’s that males are just more intellectually and literarily creative? We can’t fabricate babies, you lot have to do that for us (and yourselves, don’t forget that, ever): so we write more, and harder, and faster, and with more exquisitely crafted anger feeling instead. The pen is mightier than the p**** I guess.

Here’s what Green Daily thought.

I blame the Fabians, and Telly, for this: also beards, Islam, the Police, and manufactured Gramsco-Fabian racist incidents

…..for this.

David Davis

And this. It is a grand beard and he should be pleased that we notice it. The bugger must have grown the thing on purpose, it can’t have got onto his face by accident. And it knocks Karl Marx into a cocked hat. Much much better. Good stuff, wish I’d had the patence and the limitless budget for shampoo.

But if I was his wife, and I still was of the age where I had to be shagged by him, then he would either have to cut it off entirely (beards and hominid sex do NOT go together, no , not) or I would leave him: the alternatives would be repellent.

The English people notice noticeable stuff about their friends by lampooning them. that is how surnames evolved. The sooner this bugger learns that, and fits in, humouresquely and psychologically, the better he will get on with us here, and the more pints we shall buy him in the pub.

Of course, if he’s been specifically put in, to the Police or anywhere else, as  Gramsco-Fabian plant, by the Gramsco Fabians or their even fouler and even less-cultured friends the Gramsco-Marxians in Universities (most of which will just have to go) to create an institutnioally-racist-incident, or whatever the bastards and other embedded socialist psychopaths among us call this stuff now, then the situation is different.

Then, I would say that he is deemed to be part of the enemy personnel but wearing Allied Uniform. He is a “plant”, and then knows what risks he runs. See “Battle of the Bulge” and “Skorzeny”, on Wikipedia. See what happened to poor Germans captured in US uniforms behind the lines (we are _ALL_ behind the lines, in today’s Gramsco-Fabian Britain: that is what gives it the potential tone of a coming Civil War.)

This poor, and probably used, man should very very quickly find out who his real friends are (please could he google http://www.libertarian.co.uk and http://www.lpuk.org … now please! ) and stop allowing himself to be used as a pawn by the evil and wicked British-Gramsco-Fabians, before it’s too late to save him and his innocent family.

Prince Charles and the green sauce-bottle: I really think he believes what he’s saying.

David Davis

It’s very sad. Now even he, the Heir-Apparent, is calling us “deniers“. He should know better than to sunder his subjects-to-be into in-groups and out-groups.

We have already had occasion to have a pop at him the other day, for his poor, sad tormentedness. What a shame that such a decent, well-meaning, moderately intelligent and potentially useful individual, to whom people look up for inspiration, should go to the Dark Side like that.

I think it’s time we got rid of this lot of hereditary sovereigns, and appointed a new one – as is our custom when required, every two or three-hundred years. The Queen, as Sean Gabb points out increasingly these days, has clearly failed to keep her side of the bargain struck in her Coronation Oath, and ought really to go. Moreover, her lot has had 295 years, has done intermittently well in its heyday (1837 but erratic, 1901, 1911, 1937) but its skills are wearing thin.

There is nothing in Libertarian-Minimal-Statist doctrine (if there is even such a unitary thing as libertarian doctrine) which says that a “libertarian state” (minimalist) cannot have an hereditary figurehead such as the Queen, if people decide this is appropriate. It’s just that we can’t really allow ourselves to be dragged under by the negligence of this lot any more.

Poor mad tormented Prince Charles has been at the green sauce-bottle again

David Davis

In Rio this time: nice for some I guess.

“100 months to save the world”…..my trousers.

Leila Deen Plane Stupid Mandelson green custard video astonishingly dangerous people

Plays in Winamp: I haven’t checked anything else.

This is a   *.avi   of it.

Whatever you might think of The Prince of Darkness – and remember the “LTT” in 1997 – and there are those including commentators on this blog who would even like to have him as a dinner-guest, the “Plane Stupid” people fill me with at least as much anger and fear as do the ALF mob, and certainly far, far more than “radical Islamism” (whatever that repetitious double-positive might be.)

The Plane-Stupid-Nazis and ALF people are here, embedded among us by the activities of (non)-Universities and the State’s “national curriculum” – unlike “radical Islamists”, who are, er, not here: the former are also disguised as real people.

Mandelson, being a socialist, is institutionally-a-killer-of-people, even if he does not know it or believe it himself. That is what makes him what he is. Deen, on the other hand, thinks that she knows perfectly well what she believes and is doing: people who believe what she does _intend_ to kill human beings, actively, by their policies. Incidentally, her public media-relations-training is exemplary – she comes across as in charge of the whole proceedings, with the exception of a little girlish nervousness just after having greened-up Lord Mandy. (I had to laugh.) Really poised perfromance on the whole, and thus very dangerous to everyone in the coming times.

What an extraordinary, and somewhat cathartic, experience it is: watching mandelson and Deen, and by implication all their friends, and trying to imagine a scenario in which you share a planet with such ones.

Interestingly, if you go to Iceland on google Earth, you will find that its main airport has three runways. Just thought I’d mention it.

Oh, and Chicago O-Hare has at least four, as does Paris-Orly, and Schipol appears to have…..five. Hmmmm.

This is fun….it’s only had 4 views, so help the poor lady:-

And how about tihs one then, Miss Deen?

Eco (Nazi-designed) Towns

David Davis

Thanks to the Englishman for this. We have happily not heard much about ecotowns for a few weeks, perhaps because the State is bust, and does not want to remind its rather worse kinds of attack-dogs about the Mordor-style projects that it had promised were in store for us, and which means that private-sector builders with white vans will have to be given money…. I mean, er, how gross and repulsive that is.

But this reminds me of Huyton, about 20 miles away south of us. It was built more than 4o years ago: so why are they trying to resurrect the idea now, since it failed?

Please remember that it was also Harold Wilson’s constiuency.

In the coming Green-Endarkenment, there will be more of this, out of necessity

It is well known that Labour administrations close more hospitals, schools and University science departments than Tories do, per unit time. It has therefore long been apparent that the “socialist project” has not been about “helping the working man”, ever – at least not for about 100 years – and more about overturning the Enlightenment and what this did to make Man’s previous unavoidable condition seem hideous and immoral.

David Davis

I came across this snippet (sorry, bad pun) over at Tim Worstall’s place. I’m certain that the Libertarian Alliance has no policy-position on methods of childbirth, unlike statists, Greenazis and other Luddites with axes to grind, it being in this elightened (for now) day and age a matter for the individual family’s choice.

But what if that choice, so hardly won from nothing over centuries of struggle and thought, by the Lights of Science, were to be so tragically attenuated again by the Perverted Lights of faux-neuo-pastoralist Greenazism?

The older I get, the more jaundiced a view I take of socialists, in all their self-avowedly-different colours and shapes.

God help us if this is not an early April Fool wind-up

David Davis

This madman plans to fire trillions of mirrors into space, to “stop global warming. I really do begin to believe that some of these mountebanks are starting to believe their own witchcraft.

Read the whole thing: it’s eitherw ritten by an imaginative but scientifically-illiterate hobbledy-hoy, or else by some very evil and wicked men.

People who haven’t built a gun before ought not to be allowed anywhere near where extra-powerful ones are to be constructed.

Bentleys and “bio Ethanol”: the trouble with all modern cars is that Green-fascism has made them look identical.

David Davis

The new Bentley looks suitably impressive and expensive. But hardly different from any other executive-express. It also can run on “E85″, available at Morrisons, no less! I doubt that buyers of this car shop there much… This stuff is an 85% mixture of bioethanol with petrol. So when using that fuel instead of nice, famine-free fossil fuels, you can be sure you’ve just starved a few more Africans.

Ill have it in British Racing Green please

I'll have it in British Racing Green please

The trouble with big modern car firms like VW (yes it owns Bentley I think, so really this is a re-bodied Phaeton or Bugatti Veyron but who cares?) is that they feel bound to emply phalanxes of PR “executives” in various “communications” departments. This makes them vulnerable to assaults by greenazis, with whom the PR chappies and chappesses went to “uni” probably, and may well have shagged each other while students.

If they didn’t bother to employ these useless wastes-of-rations, in “communications”, then they’d be…

(a) functionally deaf to media-assaults about “non-renewable fuels”, and about “polluting the environment” by not using “bio fuels”

(b) able to afford more engineers and guys at draftsmen’s tables, producing even nicer cars,

(c) not make all their cars look like one another, by passing the desings through fascist-filtering wind-tunnel-software,

(d) able to bring the crypto-terrorist inclinations of the greens out in the open: frustrated as the greens would become, they would turn to terrorism and destruction of car plants, and THEN we will see where “governments” stand. Placate the greenazis or the labour unions?

Oh, for f*** ‘ s sake…..

David Davis

Biohazard, envirocrime, HP sauce. What the hell are these people thinking they are doing?

Derek Draper gets tarred and feathered on YouTube, and Gaians are very very dangerous guys, and should be stopped…

…by a massive Geo-education project, starting before it’s too late and most of us die in this century because of their crackpot projects.

David Davis

I read this and was stunned. That real people might suggest such things, beats me. Hope we run out of money first (might do even that.)

And here’s Derek “Dolly” Draper, wannabe-arch-deliverer of the blogosphere to New labour, getting pilloried in the usual way:-

(Psssssst…..Why’s he called “Dolly”?)

The London Evening Standard (is it still called that I wonder?) cleans up the Derek Draper Degree Débacle.

The problem with the Left, and the blogosphere, one which they can’t get yet, is that broadly speaking those on the “right” are sharper and cleverer than those on the “left”. This has to be the case evolutionarily speaking, since all external threats to existence  - and even survival – have in general come from the “left”. Everybody round here knows and agrees that foxhunting for example increases the survivability and intelligence of the fox population. This is no bad thing for foxes.

To make a living in leftist organisations such as governments, the BBC, death-camps, the Police, quangos,  “local councils” Soviets and the like, one doesn’t have to be very smart: only to parrot the party line loudly enough in front of the right selectors, and to grass people up whom you have a thing about.

Furthermore, “rightist” bloggers on the whole seem to be a widely-read, classically-liberally-educated bunch of chaps, and even their off-the-cuffs seem statistically to be funnier and more cutting, more often.

The left takes politics and the Utopianising of civilisation too seriously. Yes, we do too, but not in that way. This very fine Jack Thurston article, (I do believe he is a socialist, but a rather sharp-witted one who can write well) hat-tipped via Guido Fawkes, sums up their problem nicely.

The left, to succeed in actually, really, really, madly deeply truly, winning the battles of ideas, has to lighten up and get out more. The trouble for it then, is that it will get mugged by reality and become conservative.

And, then what?
