    You have way too much time on your hands, David. Are you by any chance detained at Her Majesty’s pleasure, with a view of a busy dual carriageway from your cell window?

    Perhaps this suggests we are still a more individualistic people than most others? Though I would have to know the statistics and legality of personalised plates in the non-Anglosphere countries to be sure.
