The doings, day by day almost, of Mr Blake are always related by Dr Gabb in such clear detail, that one sometimes wonders whether they live next door to each other: but I am sure that this is not actually the case.
However, both men write very well: although the historical-narrative style of Mr Blake, full also as it is of lurid descriptions of fascist brutality, state-wickedness and gore, is clearly very different from that plangent and direct prose of Dr Gabb in his pamphlets and modern novels about the joys and success of liberalism
