This here is very very funny and I do not know what to make of it at all..

so I guess our reader had better read it and see for (him her it)self.

David Davis

I know – I’ll now refer to the reader as “the readroid”…that will fix the anti-sex-GramscoFabiaNazis …  oh, I’ve twigged…they don’t want people to have sex, ‘coz it’s nice. Only for them, not for “us”. Droit-du-Seigneur and all that semi-mythical crap – is that what they are thinking?

So how-they-gonna-create-enough-slaveproles then? After the Endarkenment has been brought about, and with the re-standardised pre-capitalist infant death rates and all that, to which we will go back forwards?

Council “staff” should spend 100% of their time on “face book”…a

then they can’t be spending it taxating us and tyrannising us.

David Davis

Bugger them. F*** them. Let them be on the bloody thing the whole time: they cannot then and therefore be doing stuff to us, only to their supposed “friends”.

FORCE THEM to spend 100% of their time and effort while “at work”, on it.

I am beginning to see the point of “face” “book”. It is a harmless and debilitating out-door relief-system for bureaucrats, who are concerned that they have no “friends”. Let the bastards use it how they bloody well like. It will keep them off  our effing backs.

I have 19 friends, my son has 79 (I sort of think he does actually know most of them) and some of my students have “1,891 friends” (this is non-credible. Nobody would even send Christmas Cards to that number of people, let alone be their friend, unless they wozz a bank.)

I can’t work out what the blasted site is actually for, apart from my thoughts about harmlessly employing bureaucrats without hurting people outside.

But, Ian Geldard and Jackie Danicki seem to broadcast their innermost thoughts to the world at hourly intervals. I must be a  classical liberal saddo then.

I might resign from it, but I await good advice from the commentariat.

Just a little piece of moral relativism that floated past the window of the submersible, as we travel down into the cesspool

I bet you all 8.2p that a Moslem girl, home educated, would not be forced into a “State” “school”. The GramscoStalinist Fabian free sex buggers would never think of even daring to ask. Now I do know that most Libertarians are either atheist or anti-religious, but this is an issue of individual freedom. I have already said today on a comment that we can’t go round killing all the members of the Enemy Class upon the event of our victory on day one, since that will degrade us to their level: we will have, sadly, to continue to allow them the means to prosecute their perverted science on purpose, upon others. So the war will continue, until one side or other gets serious about a result…..

Court orders Christian child into government education

10-year-old’s ‘vigorous’ defense of her faith condemned by judge

A 10-year-old homeschool girl described as “well liked, social and interactive with her peers, academically promising and intellectually at or superior to grade level” has been told by a New Hampshire court official to attend a government school because she was too “vigorous” in defense of her Christian faith.

The decision from Marital Master Michael Garner reasoned that the girl’s “vigorous defense of her religious beliefs to [her] counselor suggests strongly that she has not had the opportunity to seriously consider any other point of view.”

The recommendation was approved by Judge Lucinda V. Sadler, but it is being challenged by attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund, who said it was “a step too far” for any court.

The ADF confirmed today it has filed motions with the court seeking reconsideration of the order and a stay of the decision sending the 10-year-old student in government-run schools in Meredith, N.H.

(Story continues below)

The dispute arose as part of a modification of a parenting plan for the girl. The parents divorced in 1999 when she was a newborn, and the mother has homeschooled her daughter since first grade with texts that meet all state standards.

In addition to homeschooling, the girl attends supplemental public school classes and has also been involved in a variety of extra-curricular sports activities, the ADF reported.

But during the process of negotiating the terms of the plan, a guardian ad litem appointed to participate concluded the girl “appeared to reflect her mother’s rigidity on questions of faith” and that the girl’s interests “would be best served by exposure to a public school setting” and “different points of view at a time when she must begin to critically evaluate multiple systems of belief … in order to select, as a young adult, which of those systems will best suit her own needs.”

According to court documents, the guardian ad litem earlier had told the mother, “If I want her in public school, she’ll be in public school.”

The marital master hearing the case proposed the Christian girl be ordered into public school after considering “the impact of [her religious] beliefs on her interaction with others.”

“Parents have a fundamental right to make educational choices for their children. In this case specifically, the court is illegitimately altering a method of education that the court itself admits is working,” said ADF-allied attorney John Anthony Simmons of Hampton.

“The court is essentially saying that the evidence shows that, socially and academically, this girl is doing great, but her religious beliefs are a bit too sincerely held and must be sifted, tested by, and mixed among other worldviews. This is a step too far for any court to take.”

“The New Hampshire Supreme Court itself has specifically declared, ‘Home education is an enduring American tradition and right,’” said ADF Senior Legal Counsel Mike Johnson. “There is clearly and without question no legitimate legal basis for the court’s decision, and we trust it will reconsider its conclusions.”

The case, handled in the Family Division of the Judicial Court for Belknap County in Laconia, involves Martin Kurowski and Brenda Kurowski (Voydatch), and their daughter.

The ADF also argued that the issue already was raised in 2006 and rejected by the court.

“Most urgent … is the issue of Amanda’s schooling as the school year has begun and Amanda is being impacted by the court’s decision daily,” the court filing requesting a stay said. “Serious state statutory and federal constitutional concerns are implicated by the court’s ruling and which need to be remedied without delay.

“It is not the proper role of the court to insist that Amanda be ‘exposed to different points of view’ if the primary residential parent has determined that it is in Amanda’s best interest not to be exposed to secular influences that would undermine Amanda’s faith, schooling, social development, etc. The court is not permitted to demonstrate hostility toward religion, and particularly the faith of Amanda and Mother, by removing Amanda from the home and thrusting her into an environment that the custodial parent deems detrimental to Amanda.”

“The order assumes that because Amanda has sincerely held Christian beliefs, there must be a problem that needs solving. It is a parent’s constitutionally protected right to train up their children in the religious beliefs that they hold. It is not up to the court to suggest that a 10-year-old should be ‘exposed’ to other religious views contrary to the faith traditions of her parents. Could it not be that this sharp 10-year-old ‘vigorously’ believes what she does because she knows it to be true? The court’s narrative suggests that 10-year-olds are too young to form opinions and that they are not yet allowed to have sincerely held Christian beliefs,” the ADF said.

“Absent any other clear and convincing evidence justifying the court’s decision, it would appear that the court has indeed taken sides with regard to the issue of religion and has preferred one religious view over another (or the absence of religion). This is impermissible,” the documents said.

The guardian ad litem had an anti-Christian bias, the documents said, telling the mother at one point she wouldn’t even look at homeschool curriculum.

“I don’t want to hear it. It’s all Christian based,” she said.

Working on the house…

…and rushing into the garden to pee on the hungriest-looking and the most undernourished vegetables, as you do (if you know which ones are what), it occurred to me that __if__ the GreeNazis are right, and Man is Ruining the Planet, then we all ought to piss and defecate on the garden, as the limiting resource is not really energy (we have trillions of trillions of tons, plus engineers and power-stations, so they are just wanking at us the Greens are) but Phosphorus.

We ought not to simply send all our waste phoshporus (about 2 grams a day per man) down the plughole, to the water-treatment system where God knows what will happen to it (socialism or something like that): we should recycle it directly onto our food-plants.

I put it to the GramscoFabiaNazubsistence-farmers that we all ought to be given a “Phosphorus-footprint”, inside which we all ought to be compelled to walk.

They can bring in food-rationing now, with a clear heart.

Libertarian Alliance joke of the day: crematoria and death-related matters

David Davis

Today, we idly passed the local crematorium, trundling in the Motor Carriage, as you do. There was a large notice advertising its “OPEN DAY”.

We then wondered whether, the service being private like many schools, one now has to “book a place”.

Wonderful stuff

Socialised State medicine, dealt with by Ronald Reagan

Thanks to Guido for spotting it first. (I’m just useless at this being-first stuff.)

Sunday afternoon thoughts on male aggression, and socialism

David Davis

WE watched, as is usual when we have the time, the Belgian Formula 1 GP, which was slightly less unexciting than normal owing to a good pile-up on the first lap. Perhaps we subliminally enjoyed the implied violence? I do not know….

…There is something wrong with today’s car-racing tracks, which I will deal with in time. But in short, they are (1) too short, (2) have got too many really really sharp corners straight after the start, and (3) don’t allow driver/car-changes midstream if you prang or the driver gets killed, and (4) don’t allow you to jump into the spare car (and where is it then?) while the track is still covered with shrapnel. Peter Davis and I did a nice track nearly two years ago on here, about 26 miles long and rather interesting on Googleearth. We will come back to it. You can serch for it in the meantime.

But…..male aggression. It’s probably one of the things that made Homo sapiens sapiens as successful as (he) is, in the battle for survival against shithead short-arsed-bears bureaucrats, sabre-tooth tigers Soviets, and so on. I have been thinking about this for some time as I find that male students vary considerably in their ability to manage or mask or evince aggression as a statement of attitude, and it does seem to vary corelationally by school. (The Governmint might want to know that.)  Janet Daley today examines what she suggests the fascist PC-left have done to being about the explosion of gang culture and knife crime among young boys and young men. It’s worth a read, even though lots of libertarians don’t like her.

In “New Britain”, youth male aggression is not channelled, and so individual directionless crime is rife: why? Because:-

(1) There are no fathers, only “mums”. Girls are born to “mums”, but boys are born by parthenogenesis to “single partners”. “Fathers” are just devices which prodice the necessary gametes, seemingly on demand (I can’t figure out how or why.)

(2) Young boys have to have their heads shaved at three and watch football all day on the Wireless Tele Vision, and “hang out”.

(3) “Schools” have sold their football fields for the building of “affordable housing”, so there are no “competitive sports” which foster “elitism and “inequality” anyway, and so are bad.

(4) The Naitonalised Curriculum has been voided of content and also femiNazised, in order to render school (on purpose) seemingly useless to boys, so that they can be made to prefer streetgangs as a form of daytime outdoor relief.

Socialism (a fungus) of course needs this machinery to propagate within what is otherwise a highly-ordered civilisation, formed sort of accidentally under liberty.

Is socialism a fungus born out of evolution and natural selection, and which exploits a niche? DISCUSS

The picture speaks a thousand words

The USA and WW1: interesting thread

David Davis

Here.

I have personally-strong views about this topic, being English. What the Mises thread (and article) forgets to deal with at all of course, as is natural, is the role of (1) Woodrow Wilson and (2) the extreme reluctance of the Kaiser to go to unrestricted U-Boat warfare despite the indignant response of his Navy and his General Staff, who knew the German Empire could win if the weapon was used mercilessly, as was right and proper for them in war. I believe that Tirpitz even resigned, but who now cares?

If the USA had not entered WW1 in 1917, or even at all, on anybody’s side, I do not think the eventual result would have been very different: it would merely have been more expensive for The Empire and would have taken longer – but I am prepared to be contradicted.

The problem of what to do with fully-corrupted-humans, after victory

David Davis

Mr Eugenides fulminates suitably in his inimitable style, the loss to the world of which would be inestimable.

I am not clear to what level “antidrinkism” has seeped corrosively into the minds of the Enemy Class, and more especially and importantly, I guess, into the minds of “leisure industry workers”. Such as barmaids and the like. This sort fo stuff is just a symptom anyway of something much deeper and more purposefully-malevolent.

But, whether or not there will ever be a Libertarian civilisation or nation, let alone such a government as I opined before, suppose there was:

Let’s suppose we have something approaching what CountingCats sort-of-agrees is currently unachievable – a State in which broad libertarian principles inform its actions as a State, and in which a narrow majority tries to behave as if we can all do what we wish with our bodies and so on. What then do we do with an essentially rebellious, vindictive, contrarian and mutinous rentamob of ex-stooges and ex-State-nannies, forever carping on about their hard-done-byness, their righteousness and the injustice of it all, since everybody’s health is going to the dogs unless they get their way?

What is to be done with these people? We can’t let them anywhere near any sort of political power or influence: they would simply re-erect all the stuff we are trying to trash. But to be able to do that, we’d have to compulsorily reduce their circumstances in some economic way also. Perhaps some particularly invasive and highly-retrospective tax investigations would do, or something to do with their googling habits for the past 400 years.

As I get older, and see the deepness of the engrainment in GramscoFabiaNazis of their habit of never apologising and never admitting error (admirable and essential qualities in libertarians of course) I wonder how we can eliminate their threat to humanity permanently without emulating their methods, and I’d like suggestions please.

If this blog should ever go down

David Davis

Then … I just want to thank Countingcats for (a) bringing this little gem to my attention, and also (2) for reminding me exactly how useless and negative the effect of the Kennedys was on the advancement of Western Civilisation. Old “Joe” Kennedy will be, when I meet him in Hell, one of the 138 most important people that I want presented to me by Lucifer, early on (ish) before I fry totally, for me to kick in the effing bollocks – for what he nearly managed to get done to my nation in 1940.

I have naturally feared and been suspicious of the Kennedys, since I was old enough to understand Statist politics, in about 1965. I wonder what it is about people that gives you that gift, or perhaps what it is about bad-people, that you somehow “know” they are bad?

Do wicked people perhaps smell different? Did anybody get close enough to Joe Kennedy, Stalin, Hitler, the Castro people, the Kims, Pol Pot, Himmler, Heydrich, Lenin, Tony Blair, Peter Mandelson, and all the others, to actually find out? I do not know.

I do not think Gordon Brown is wicked. But I’d be keen to know if he smells.

Why there will never be a Libertarian government, ever

David Davis

Good analysis on The Volokh Conspiracy here.

Dr Sean Gabb’s phrase “The Enemy Class” says it all too.

But there is always another strategy. Libertarians, heavily disguised as pork-barrel-opening, largesse-distributing statists, could stage an election-led dawn raid on the legislature. Having got elected, hopefully looking vaguely like compassionate conservatives who “love the NHS”  – but specifically after some particularly spectacular failure and cock-up by the ordinary stalinists of the day, such as affects us now – they could strip off their statists’ clothes revealing the lithe muscular form and leotarded bewinged saviour….

….SUPER-MARKET…. !!!

Immediately, they could get to work sacking most departments of State (and Councils people’s Soviets), malleting the hard disks, shredding and burning the records, and turning the bemused “staff” onto the street. Within about two days the country could resemble a somewhat chaotic Hong Kong, only without any bureaucrats at all.

But I don’t think David Cameron has any such plans – do you? Ah well, never mind, it’s fun to dream.

Libertarian Alliance joke for the day

David Davis

Riddle:-

Why do KGB men go around in threes?

One can read, the second can write, and the third guy keeps a close eye on the two intellectuals.

Hat off to Samizdata for starting a Police-State-thread.

Joe Kennedy the bootlegger

David Davis

Further to my last posting, I just did want to say that, in view of it being wrong for the State to prohibit any drugs, there was nothing intrinsically wrong in Joe Kennedy being a bootlegger. He merely took advantage of an available window.

It’s just that his exalted reputation stands today on the fact that hiding one’s bootlegger history is regarded as good, if you can engineer your enty to the Enemy-Class as a getout.

If the State was  “a good” (as opposed to a bad thing), then bootlegging would not have existed, and the Kennedys would have been failed immigrant Irish beggars. I wonder if WW2 would perhaps then have finished earlier than it did, since the USA would have received different diplomatic advice in early 1940?

I must also add that I have no grudge against the Irish, who ought always to have been our brothers and sisters in adversity and triumph – whatever the weather -  as I have said for about 14 years on eurorealist. After all, they live only about 80 miles from me here at the furthest, and are closely related to whoever lives here in the North with us all, because of Vikings and that stuff.

There is an argument that the Irish saved the world. I lean towards it sometimes myself. You might not agree but you can discuss it on here if you want.

Kennedycare: Lesson 1 – the Kennedys will shag you and then you will die

….especially if you are a pretty young woman.

David Davis

If this was not the Libertarian Alliance, then the headline would have contained a different four-letter verb instead of “shag”.

Calling the USA! Hear us!

Listen, for we are your friends! We want you to succeed! There is no mileage or benefit for humanity in a hobbled, socialist USA!

Rule 1: whatever the Kennedys say, do exactly the opposite (except for your moon landings which were Anglo-German. Jack Kennedy only hijacked what was to happen anyway.)

Rule 2: give the Kennedys lots of young women and money to keep them occupied. I don’t know how you’ll persuade the young women to comply, but the world might contain enough desperate ones.

Rule 3: stop thinking the Kennedys are some sort of romantic Irish neopastoralist anti-British clan.

Joe Kennedy the bootlegger wanted to sell us, your friends, to Hitler, the deputy-arch-GramscoFabiaNazi after “Joe” Stalin his friend. Those of us who are old enough to remember Joe Kennedy (who f****d his sons’ girlfriends – how much of a loser can you be and still make money?) and what he did and said and – worse – thought, will never never forgive him or forget what time he lost us and you, when you and yours wanted to come to our aid in early 1940 against anti-libertarianism.

Do exactly the opposite of what the Kennedys say, straight away: do NOT lose any time.

How to kick the UK further into the poo: part 1 – tax “the City” more.

David Davis

Yep, that’ll really make banks and traders want to stay here, won’t it.

They’ll queue up to open bigger offices, and employ more people, so “Lord” “Turner” can define how “socially useful” they are, and administer suitably-popular public spankings.

AND

If “The City has grown beyond a reasonable size”, then that makes Lord Turner a “PLANNER”.

Ahhhhhhhhh……………Gosplan! Bisto! Stalinism!

And I don’t know whether Samizdata got to it before I did, but you can read Jonathan’s excellently detailed analysis here.

And just a slight shock on a wet Wednesday afternoon

You can have a look at this.

Truancy: and the reason is…

…that the “National Curriculum” totally outdoes even the Daily Mirror in the department of uttermost boring triviality, and unfitness to be termed a “knowledge-delivery-system”. It is a self-amplifying socialist outdoor-relief-system for increasing education bureaucracy and spending.

David Davis

If you remove all semblence of interesting knowledge – along with anything that helps one’s ability to marshall facts and opinions, let alone distinguish one from the other – from what schools teach, then you will get pupils deciding it’s less depressing for them if they just don’t turn up any more. Frankly, I don’t blame most of the poor little buggers. With of course 50 years of hindsight, I’d be turned off dead by most of what they have to “learn” today. It’s all dressed up as “child-centred” and “relevant” and “interactive”. But to pass the exams, you have to use the words in the Vulgate and tick the right boxes.

Sean Gabb had something to say about truancy a few momths ago, here.

I told you so

It is not suitable, for people whose lives depend upon it not happening, to allow socialist mountebanks to grandstand to the world mob cheering a murderer, while wearing the stolen clothes of liberal charity. No good will come of this for libertarians, or even for ordinary people in Britain, Scotland, Libya and the USA.

David Davis

But we always knew this!

David Davis

USSR plans for “invading” Manchester….

Personally, I’d not have come in via the Trafford route: too many water obstacles, and stuff like that, and you’d have had to take Liverpool first although they’d probably just let you in and the minidressed scousettes would just ride along on your tanks.

If Manchester was what you needed, then much better to seize the heights south and southeast round Stockport and Hazelgrove, possibly using airborne assault with portable artillery and mortars, plus the ring of hills from Bolton, Bury and Rochdale. To do both, too, you could just drive up the M6.

Then you have the entire city at your mercy from bombardment. Forget the “urban guerrillas” – too busy watching the telly. And from there you could just starve the place out.

MATHS: even more scary that a few hours ago

David Davis

So what about that then?

Children, by the age of seven – or eight at the very very latest – ought to be able to do long multiplication and long division. This is a simple hominid brain-skill which merely involves adding, takking away, multiplication, simple division, and “place-value” – which the Hindu philosophers invented fourteen centuries ago. None of this was beyond the wit of average, undernourished English boys and girls in the 1950s, such as myself, when sugar was on-ration and we all had Ricketts and Worms (so we must have been “eating healthily”) to do this thing, when we were starving and still bust. It was not even unavailable to people classified as “Dumb Children”, who were classed as “dumb” by their teachers, their schools and their own perfectly willing  parents, but who still tried hard, because they were given no option. Like D-Day landings, or Dunkirk, or Alamein, which some of their fathers (whom I of course knew as I played with their sons) had of course experienced without complaint.

Why they therefore can’t do it now must be down to the Universal Provider of the “skill-delivery-system” … which has to be  … “The State!” For most of them at least.

And, more worsely, the “Private sector” can afford to mark time and NOT teach cubic factorisation by the age of twelve, because it can still stay ahead even when not doing so.

It cannot be suitable to suggest that the children today are “more dumb” than 50/60 years ago. Therefore, “non-availability-of-skills” has to be down to “non-delivery-of-solutions”.

Instead, they spend seven years, – SEVEN YEARS – in “primary schooling” … and what do they do? They colour in posters about “healthy eating”, and they learn that “The Tudors” were responsible for “Pirates, Smoking and Slavery”, and that Henry the Eighth “had SEX WIVES!!!!”

So….two whole generations wasted… and the best part of a third. And all that time lost. Fred Bloggs, who very kindly sometimes writes for us, asked me the other day about what could be done to rescue the education system in the UK. I had to admit that if I was him, I would not have started from here. And it would take decades, and we probably had run out of time.

The Internet, Mandelson, dinner, Geffen, File Sharing, data, film, music, and all that other stuff you don’t really want

The internet has probably got past the stage where it is a collection of dumb machinery. From now on, I think that  it starts to behave as a thinking organism. If attacked, it will interpret slicing and chopping as a threat, and will heal ways around that.

There is not a thing that I, or these other guys who had a dinner, can do about any of that, any more. I have only one word to say: China.

Forget “new government plans”. I think they are re-arranging the deckchairs on the Titanic.

Please send Michael Yon some money

http://www.michaelyon-online.com/about-michael-yon/

This is not to say that the Libertarian Alliance supports, or does not support, the prosecution of a war in Afghanistan, or indeed anywhere else, by the West. But I am as blogmaster increasingly concerned that the truth about such wars may not be being broadcast accurately, or at all, by Western MSMs who are institutionally and ideologically opposed to Western Values, the Western Canon of Knowledge and Philosophy, and their propagation. If we are right, then we should propagate. If we are not, then we should not. But we should know.

Here’s an interesting posting from him, which ought to put the wind up people like “Bob” “Ainsworth”*** and “Gordon Brown”.

He needs money, as our government does not like him. He’s just been sacked by our own MOD: that says everything, don’t you think?

You can send him money here. But only if you think you want to.

David Davis

***How can you give the job of “Minister of Defence” to a man called “Bob”? It seems that at one and the same time the GFNs want to overdignify themselves to the skies, while yet using such prosaically peasant names.

You might also like this. Gordon Brown and Alex Salmond ought not to do shady deals about stuff and guys which harm the people who are prepared to do that.

Libertarian Alliance quote of the day, no-24,689B/42z3 … 0550-ABFF-09CC-042E

And before you even think of reading on, this is scary.

David Davis

From Legiron:-

“….Therefore you must be on the database on the off-chance you commit a crime in future. You cannot be trusted to behave yourself. The State must watch over you in case you step out of line. All the time. With coercion and threats….”

I don’t normally allow swearing and 4-letter words on the blog: it is a family blog for women and children as well as all us thugs. That’s why we feature people like Keeley Hazell in their pretty knickers and smalls, and why we discuss the finer points of the Holocaust, and the problems of human cruelty by GFNs.

There are quite sufficient classical liberal bolgs out there to satisfy anybody’s apetite for that sort of four-letter-**** thing, and you all know which they are. But this State-DNA crap makes you want to utter them too.

WE are not their effing farm-animals: they don’t pay to keep us – we pay to keep THEM.

Neopastoralism is really for the rich…

….just sayin’…

David Davis

Tim Worstall is worth a read on this one. Follow his link to the Guardian’s Peter Preston and translate it, just translate it, into what it would mean for humanity if we were all forced, by the GramscoFabiaNazis to live like that, again…

(If you can’t get the PP link from Timmy for any reason, it’s here.)

Ministers are determined to spread more crime

More drugs to be banned or further proscribed in various ways.

The Occam’s Razor- reason has to be that then they can employ more police.

People do not learn that hard cases make bad law: moreover, that if one proscribes or prohibits the dealing in and possession of something, one will increase its street price by something like 20x to 100x.

About 90% of moderate-to-serious crime in the UK is related to the compulsion to acquire cash for currently-illegal drugs. Now, if trade in or possession of these was decriminalised, then almost all of this crime would disappear straight away: the Police could “spend time doing more useful things” like…..er…..chasing motorists….. (no I don’t think we’ll go there right now…) and the £100-a-day habit would become the £5-a-day habit.

Glaxo-Smith-Kline, Ciba-Geigy and Schering-Plough and others could compete legally to supply the purest and safest drugs at the lowest prices, assuming the market was large enough for major players which I doubt.

Perhaps we could even move towards governments “promising (owing to efficiency savings) to put fewer police on the beat”….

Now that would be a result – for Liberty!

Very interesting….

….Obnoxio has been doing some rather apposite anti-ZanuLieBorg research.

There is no reason why the USA should always be our friend

We should think sometimes.

See update below, and the MSM heat is, slowly but inevitably, building:-

David Davis

It is an independent federation of States which chooses (and does choose) to behave as an independent nation. We ought not to take its benignity in any form of alliance for granted. Remember who gave them the Statue of Liberty, and for what historical deed and attributes. The USA has never needed critically to be our friend, or indeed anyone’s friend!

(There are in fact interesting arguments in favour of its having been better for it to continue in utter isolation, as “A City upon a Hill”. Especially to defend against institutionally-European diseases and mortal risks such as GramscoFabiaNazism, in all its various vile guises. If the USA goes down to GFNs, and it does seem now to have its fair share, we are all in trouble. But this is the subject of another post later.)

Conveniently for us here, the USA chose to aid us in most of the 20th Century, in our manichaean struggles with sundry tyrannies, at critical times. In 1917 for example – even up to February, and even up to the Zimmermann Telegram -  it was an entirely neutral and almost uncoloured decision, for the USA, to side with one or other batch of belligerents. Or even not at all.

Whatever valuable points Sean Gabb makes or implies about the First World War, it was (1) probably unavoidable in the end, and (2) our underlying motives were just and noble. The sheer scale of waste and slaughter is another matter, as is the generality of libertarian opposition in principle to war.

What happened over Lockerbie, which accidentally happens to be in Scotland, affects the USA more if anything than the UK. What would, for example, have been the prosecution’s position against Megrahi et al , in either of these two cases? Firstly,  if the device had exploded, say, over Ribblehead or Slaidburn (if earlier it might have done – I am the Director of Northern Affairs: I know these places!) or secondly instead over international waters of the North Atlantic?

Here, I must add that it does not even matter a monkeys, whether it was the Gaddaffi-Megrahi mob wot dunn it, or another mob, most likely Syrian/Iranian, as the estimable Devil (pbuh) suggests here. If the Devil is right, then it’s the renaging on deals, of whatever sort (ask Stalin, he renaged on lots) that endanger them. And the initial results, always, are bad for liberty.

If public opinion in the USA leans towards refusing to buy our stuff (and they are I still think our major trading partner – the EU is nowhere by contrast) then that’s one more to chalk up to Gordon MaCavity, who seems to bugger off and go to ground when things get embarrassing. It’s becoming clearer by the hour that his pawprints (and most likely Mandelson’s, his puppet-master) are all over Megrahi and his release. But none of these three will be on the DNA database, you can bet the usual 17p.

Libertarians should hope that the sound good sense of the American People (it did however fail last November, for a critical minute) will prevail, and that little lasting damage will be done and this sleazy-dealy-oily-scumbag-under-the-carpet-while-nobody’s-looking event will sidle gently into oblivion. Libertarians in the UK and Europe will need all the help they can get in the next few decades – not just from US bloggers and think-tanks and philosophers, able to narrowcast to us and to each other – but from a broad front of general friendship and fellow-feeling for liberty – from an entire Nation.

And now this stuff is getting about:-

not useful to us, and embarrassing

not useful to us, and embarrassing

Look, guys: it’s all very well to strike postures – like about how Megrahi is not the right man, althoug he probably is. The Syrian and Iranian fascist guvmints were much much too clever, even in the late 1980s, to be seen with own their fingers in the blood if they could get somebody else to be the fall-guys. Also it’s just as heinous of Westminster to pretend to agree, by inference, and (worse) by silence, that it was a “Scottish Government decision”.

Libertarians are worried, because there are still a few hundred over this side of the Pond, and they want there to be somewhere they can disappear to more easily than Mexicans can, and in which there is enough space not to be found for decades, if not ever. Libertarians with British versions of EU passports are therefore endangered as regards their human rights to become refugees, by decisions like this one.

But I doubt it will.

Alex Salmond, an interesting spinner

See what he says here.

Not sure what Canon of civilisation he belongs to, but it’s clearly not the West.

This has been engineered on purpose by the GramscoFabiaNazis

David Davis

If you are GramscoFabiaNazis, and if (therefore as must follow as the night the day) you want to marginalise a potential key player who could be ranged against you in some way, in the setting-up of a New World Order – one in which Western liberal Civilisation is banished to a few subsistence-farming communities on outer islands, and which you can ultimately pick off at will like Native Americans – this is one thing you must do.

You have to ensure that you f*** up their defence procurement bureaucracy, finances and objectives. Hear me out, enraged libertarians, for this is important.

Rommel, von Kluge and von Runstedt came, not very suddenly, to understand this very well in 1944, and had no power to influence what was anyway a fairly-well-run outfit by 2009 standards.

The poor wretched generals and marshalls actually understood it before that, but were not listened to. The only reason “Normandy to the Elbe” took so long, and was so expensive in metal and in lives lost, was the superb fighting power of the average German soldier, even in knowingly unrelievable desperation. The Allies were fighting the finest and most professional army of ordinary soldiers that possibly ever existed in all history.

To me, from where I am sitting, about 100% of all libertarians appear to be “against war”. Well that’s OK if you say so, but I am not convinced that everybody who reads this blog and others is aware of the difference between this position and outright pacifism in the face of people who frankly state their objectives about your fate, should they be so fortunate as to get you into a dark alley.

The point about wars properly waged by The West, against its mortal philosophical enemies such as GramscoFabiaNazis – and even, let it be said – GramscoNazis and their integrated GramscStalinist clone, is that The Western Canon has allowed the development of what we (in the LA year and years and years ago) called, on a lapel badge (remember those?) “Peace through superior firepower”. We even, in the Alternative Bookshop, bought a badge-making-machine, and prodiced them – I still have one.

All we have to do is decide if we are right. If we are, then superior firepower will ensure minimal destruction of innocent bystanders, by ensuring maximal destruction of the guys who are wrong and who despite that persist.

This I think was the original – actually it’s not, it’s the second series:-

P8230403

And I thought this was a later version when that stock had run out, but actually it’s the real one, the first one – it’s a better gun:-

P8230405

And this summed it all up:-

P8230404

GramscoFabiaNazis have nothing going for them except their messianic fervour of rightness in the face of logic, and their aura of divinity based on barbarian-neopastoralist mass-credulity. They are killers and murderers: the two generalised forms of death which they apply to people who displease them, differ slightly but importantly.

They too encompass badge-wearers, just as we did: but we grew up and they did not.

The GFNs must find a way to hobble people who, although behaving as “uncertain trumpets”, ought to be able to possess overwhelming firepower.

Free Life from August 1994

(The blogmaster comments:- The older we get, the less attention seems to be paid to the roots of 20th-Century war, notably the main one from 1899 to 1989…)

Sean Gabb

From “Free Life”

I have mentioned the year 1914. I am making these loose jottings on the 4th August, 80 years to the day since our declaration of war on Germany. I know that looking at the plain statistics, we can dethrone the Great War from the place that it occupies in most liberal imaginations. Other wars have lasted longer. Others have had higher death rates, both absolutely and proportionately. On the same basis, others have consumed more wealth. I cannot say that our statist ascendency is wholly a product of the War: its roots can be traced far back into the 19th century – even into the age of high liberalism.

Yet for all this, I cannot but regard that war as the greatest of all known calamities. The only real civilisation that has existed on this planet came close to blowing itself apart: and no one but a fool can say that a full recovery has yet taken place, or be sure that one will take place.

I began this jotting with the intention of saying something smart and clever about today’s anniversary. But there is nothing smart and clever to be said. When I contemplate the events that unrolled between the 28th June and the 4th August 1914, I become a child again, in the audience of a pantomime. I want to cry out to the person on stage – “Look behind you!” “Don’t go there!”, “He’s coming for you!”. But there is nobody out there to listen.

And that, perhaps, is why we are so busy commemorating the events of 1944, but have chosen very largely to overlook the still greater and more unimaginable events of 30 years’ earlier.

How embarrassed and humiliated can we be…

..if this is true?

At least we can take moral comfort from the fact that, if so, it’s all done by our internal enemy at home, in the Enemy Class.

It’s actually quite debatable whether the Enemy Class hates British or American civilisation more. I suspect the former, hecne this whole spat.

It’s all done to make us here look bad in particular and deliberately: and that neither did we free a murderer on purpose nor did we want it done.

I don’t now believe that even a majority of Scottish people would have wanted it to be like this.

All in all, a vindication for libertarianism, on our continued cynicism and max-distrust of all States and their machinations.

I will decide to say more when the story has had time to ferment for a day or two. Yes, a “week is a long time in Politics”. So I won’t wait that long.

Libertarian Alliance SLEBWATCH 1b: “Katie” told to stop “partying”

I actually think this is very funny.

David Davis

I really do have no clue who “Katie” is, but the gravity being associated with the announcement indicates that this particular chappy is famous. Here’s even a picture of him, looking as if he has bought some chips on a plastic thingy:-

Mines a large one, squire!

Mine's a large one, squire!

The chips are the good bit: it shows just how against the prevailing grain of GramscoFabiaNazism that this Katie chap’s opinions about “healthy eating” are. This is good and right. He may go far in the libertarian movement yet.

But, sadly, Mr Katie clearly does not know either which sort of dress suits him, nor does he know when to stop applying the fake tanning lotions,  or else he does not listen to his Gestapo-minders sufficiently closely.

Mr Katie is going to feature more on here I have decided. He is going to be used as a “do not end up like me” lesson for younger readers of this Classical liberal archive, of whatever sex. Even though he is about 90.

His legs aren’t that great either.

A libertarian society would probably have some of these men working in it. I do not complain. But they would probably earn less in an average lifetine of two years each, and would not be as universally-highly-regarded through the Wireless Tele Vision. They might earn something like an “average wage”, and would marry blameless and sensible platerers and brickies, and disappear harmlessly up their own chuffers.

Perhaps the problem with modern __/post-civilisation/__ celebrities is that the mechanism of the process of killing them for the crowd to attain their _/Aura/_ after their death is misunderstood and lost. I do not for one moment suggest that the killing of  this man Katie for his “aura”, whatever it might consist of, should be done. But there clearly is something about the “aura” of these people, which makes it possible for GramscoStalinist administrations to use them to keep “the masses” in a state of consciousness that even Marx would have considered as “not sufficiently raised”.

What I also think is unfair is that this Katie man can eat his fatty unhealthy chips any time he likes, while ordinary poor children in “schools and hospitals” are bullied into not being allowed them.

Chips are nice.

God how slow I am

I’d be no use as a Chief of Imperial Defence Staff, probably have to be Foreign Sec instead. New blog added.

A quite fun one.

David Davis

Friday night is Music Night! And this is for all the guys….

…who fought GramscoFabiaNazi-animated droids, in places like Vietnam, and Afghanistan and Iraq, and didn’t come home.

David Davis

It’s also for the droids, who after all started out as human beings, and got somehow inveigled off the path. on the way.

Ronald Reagan’s speech to the 1964 Republican convention

GramscoFabiaNazi tragedy

David Davis

Just think how many more women might look like that today, if another load of GFNs had not wiped out six million of their forebears in the holocaust:-

article-1208106-06212D63000005DC-366_468x354

Yet another reason for libertarians to be vigilant, and never walk straight and level for more than 10 seconds without looking in their mirrors. At least so long as some people kill other people for belonging to certain groups.

They were “dining” at “Scott’s” fish restaurant, whatever that might be.

Oooh yes, that’ll teach ‘em…

No Prince Andrew for you now, by boy!

David Davis

if they are indeed selling it off to shysters….

..then it’s treason.

David Davis

You can’t just, as Last Ditch said, drop £7 billion of hardware behind a sofa.

LA not in “top twenty” ….

….must try harder. Rub out, do again, and see me after 6.00pm.

David Davis

And now…..waiting lists for Universities

David Davis

First, it was food (rationing, post 1945 – you must all remember that – worse than in the War…..)

Then it was “health”. The fact that Westminster’s GramscoFabiaNazis say “there are no waiting lists” means that more tractors are being produced than ever before in hospitals.

Now, it’s education. What mountebank could not have predicted this would happen?

Next, it will be cars, and alcohol. Then probably tobacco.

Just notice the order in which these things have been tried: it’s scary.

Jeff Randall on the cult of “celebrity” (more about A-levels too)

Read the whole caboodle here.

David Davis

I should perhaps add something here. Jeff Randall’s quotation of a bright young girl wanting “really” to do what he did for a living, but only to be “on” television and for no other purpose, compares interestingly with a Russian girl of 24 whom i met in Moscow in 1993. She was studying “International Journalism” at Moscow University (I forget which one). Over a dinner I asked her idly about her future career direction, as you, er,do.

She replied:

“Oh yes. Yes, the journalism (sic) is good career for me. I will like to meet famous men, I will be in the photograph, and I will make love with them”.

More on Obama: Lockerbie, the “Scottish Government”, socialism, and tail-twisting

David Davis

Surely, this does not surprise anyone. At least President Obama and even Hillary Clinton had the grace to criticise the usurping Stalinist mountebanks who currently tyrannise poor old Scotland (I’ll reserve comment on the mountebank Scots who have tyrannised Westminster for 12 years, until later.)

I chanced to watch the Wireless Tele Vision “News” at 10.00pm last night. The adulation and celebration, positively dripping from the lips of the “Lady News Caster”, at the joy over this murderer’s release, was a sight to behold – I mean a sound to savour. I was very angry for many minutes, and could not concentrate on Max Hastings’ “Overlord” during the vital last chapter.

This is done, probably not with the connivance of the Scottish voters at all, but as an anti-Anglosphere-tail-twisting exercise on purpose. The Scottish people are in the position of the Germans in 1933: they have simply walked into a potentially great future disaster by failing to reject GramscoFabiaNazi mountebanks at an important series of elections.

All the same, this does not convince me of the necessity to keep on trying to preserve the United Kingdom. I do not really know what the majority opinion about it is currently in Scotland, but all in all it seems better for Scotland to go its own way, even, slightly comically, in Foreign Policy towards Libya and murderers therefrom. “WE” would not need “Libyan Oil and Gas” if only GreeNazis in the West did not prevent development of vast fields still available to all people, “due to Caribou” etc.

We could tell the posturing Libyan tent-dweller and his spoilt son (I bet you 9p they’re really wannabe-Lebanese: they look just like my uncles and cousins did) who I bet you also 17p (longer odds) will take over as President of Libya aka the Kim-dynasty in North Korea, exactly [with anatomical details] what to do with his blasted oil. (I’m sure the Chinese will buy it anyway.)

Obama, hear us! Find out what Ted Kennedy wants, and do exactly the opposite of what he asks

David Davis

When old GramscoFabiaNazis such as the “Kennedys” go to die, they are like elephants in a way, or worse: elephants are not known to repent in regard of their pasts sins, for we do not know if they understand the concept of Sin (the Bishop, when asked his opinion about sin, famously said: “I’m against it”) but at least elephants might not be considered essentially evil.

But “Ted” Kennedy (I honestly thought he’d been shot dead? – or was that all the others?) says he wants his dying wish to be an incubus on the American People. Well. That’s kind of like his grandfather.

Old Joe Kennedy, who used to try to shag his sons’ girlfriends, was against us in 1940. Of course you all remember: don’t deny it.

I may be “the babyboomer that the left lost”, being born in 1952, but I still can’t get this Kennedy thing. I will never figure out what the fascination with them was. The men didn’t even look like some object that a woman would like to be shagged by. Sacks of potatoes full of money, with penises attached to one end.

So what went on about them with all you Americans then? I’d just love to understand how and why you all got taken in by this bunch of shysters.

And as for the “Jackie” thingy -  (whatever her name was? Onassis, or was that afterwards?) A walking female skeleton+collagen-binders, wearing clothes and spending money at the same time? What  _were_  you thinking when you elected that? What did you think other nations would think of you and us? Deeply embarrassing and almost unexplainable. Bad. Fail.

But I thought the NHS _/WAS and is/_ a Marxist idea?

We can discuss all this further at the 2009 Confernece of the Libertarian Alliance with the Libertarian International, on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October.

Please book now if you plan to, for places are going fast. To discourage you all from attending, I will be moderating a session on the Sunday pm, 25th October:-

2.15pm – 3.00pm Session 9 Tories and the Liberal Democrats: Prospects for a Classical Liberal Agenda
• Speakers: Shane Frith (Director, Progressive Vision)
Jock Coats (Geo-Mutualist); Mark Littlewood (Campaign Director, Progressive Vision; Blogger, Liberal Vision)
• Moderator: David Davis (LA Blogmaster, Libertarian Alliance)

David Davis

Labour list seems to think it’s not, and Dan Hannan and the Americans are all “extreme right wing” for wanting to backtrack a bit.

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his need” is what the Karly-bastard said.
