Nice lady, so sh****le, such a shame she’s gone to the bad.

8 October, 2008 · 4 Comments

Not by me of course, for I am a married man. I just lie back and think of England imagine what it is like, these days. I merely weep for all you lot out there.

David Davis

When the planet cools some more, and the French have stopped building nuclear power stations as it will be too cold for the concrete to set properly, she will be sorry.

I mean, who cares these days, whether anyone wears fur or not? this was the 1980s hippy anti-Western thingy. They’ve moved ontl golbal warming, I thought. And anyway, it’s just animals. We eat them for goodness sake as it’s our job – what is worse? Eating them, or wearing them for a bit longer until they go musty?

Silly little young woman. There would have been more exciting ways of showing off your (quite nice, although I suspect you are too tall for a woman – I like quite short women best) body. These ways would do less damage to ordinary human beings – such as on Page 3 -  and please more guys, and would make you more popular and better known. You could become a banker, even if you did not marry a sensible South London Plasterer first. Go instead and get a life as banker or something else equally useful, like mobile gardening services.

The Police, and what they are supposed to be for.

8 October, 2008 · Leave a Comment

David Davis

In a Libertarian civilisation (they WILL exist, they WILL!) there would I supose be police, sometimes, in odd places….for as long as there was crime, which of course would not be for very long. For people are good. The “Police”  would, in paractice, have little to do but play cards and computer games and watch porn videos.

Christians and others who think that religion is useful (I do, mostly, most of the time, despite occasional evidence to the contrary) sometimes think that Man is a Fallen Creature, but I think that he is, like the horrible nasty pre-barbarian socialist Utopians and Fabianazis think, perfectible, or nearly so for all practical purposes. man does it himself – that’s the only thing that the original Utopians and Nazis got wrong. All we need is a liberal Classical Civilisation and the Market. They and we don’t agree about the means, that is all.

Obnoxio the Clown has a good take on the Police today in the UK. It is quite funny.

Brigitte Bardot, the great and deeply-respected philospher and definer-of-civilisation, badmouths Sarah Palin….

8 October, 2008 · 2 Comments

…..saying that Palin is “a disgrace to women” (yep that’s what it said.)

Which one would you rather go to bed with today?

Which one would you rather go to bed with today?

You can read all the guff if you want, but it’s rather like being asked if you want to shag Elizabeth Taylor – you can decline, since you know exactly what it will be like.

Poor sad old BB. She was lovely in 1965 when I saw a pic of her in a confiscated mag at school, lying on her tum, in a bikini, rather small (the bikini, not BB). The pic was about seven years old which would have made her, say, 24….yep that would be it.

It’s so sad, what happens to the human body with age, such a beautiful thing that it once was.

Forget it, BB, get a  life, just keep on upsetting the French Nazis, who fine you thousands periodically for saying things about animal rights and gays and stuff…that’s your job, and you can afford it, and you are good at it. Just keep Nicolas-Psychosis busy, for then he can’t do any worse stuff to people.

Do what you do, and move on. The (democrat) Nazis in the USA would eat you for breakfast, so keep out of it, for old times’ sake, OK?

…And Perezhilton doesn’t seem to have quite as positive a view of BB as I do…

ICELAND … and RUSSIA … I’m such a cretin, why didn’t I see it coming?

8 October, 2008 · 2 Comments

David Davis

Tony Hollick will have a good go at me and will say why it’s good for the USSR Russia to counterbalance the USA or something….but….

…..honestly, I’m such a gamma-minus semi-moron sometimes. I fail to spot screaming stuff festering under my nose, which others can smell a mile off.

Of course! THAT’s why the USSR Russia, of all the unlikely stalinist nazi buggers to come to the aid of Iceland, wants to do it. (Er, primarily from Coffee House for making the intellectual leap, sorry guys! Also Christina Speight whose shrill round-robin alerted me to it a few seconds earlier.)

I mean, who’d bother to bail out  _specifically_  _Icelandic_ banks which have slightly over-reached themselves in the eternal struggle to get round socialist regulation of capital ratios, for goodness sake? Specially when the said bailer-outers (the USSR) are sitting on the West’s windpipe? Why not, if it’s money and “stability” you want, bail out, say the Royal Bank of Scotland? No?

Nah.

The Stalinists Russia want wants something else.

To make sure of this: that when the USA/Canada (Canada not I think any more now, they have HRCs) and other parts of the Anglosphere coming to the aid of liberalism and self-determination and so help threatened Britain and perhaps other European nations to escape the EU and the USSR, something bad will happen. Their Merchant Navy crews and convoy escorts will _go home in body bags_ (or not, being at the bottom of the North Atlantic, joining all the other ones still down there, as is more likely.)

Why does the USSR Russia seem to think is has the need to fly its bears at us? Are we threatening it? Is Georgia threatening it and they have lost their map which was kept in Moscow? Is it trying to make a point? Is Putin’s willy too small? (I doubt it, but I have no first-hand evidence.) If there’s a point, then what? As Peter Simple used to say, “I only ask because I want to know.”

Is it angry that Reagan and Thatcher beat its ruling Enemy Class hollow while that outfit yet espoused Socialism, and does (its unelected ruling class, mostly the same buggers, but with more money) want revenge? If so, is the war over, in its eyes? Or not?

I opine that the West is having a 1919-1939 Armistice-moment. The enemy’s just the same, nothing has changed in over 200 years – it’s national socialist imperialism, just like Napoleon, like the 2nd Reich, the Third Reich, and the USSR (and of course now the “EU”.)

If NATO was worth the paper my boys could write it on, it would say (1)

(1) WE would like to be your friends, BUT………

(2) you seem not to want to be ours……….

(3) and so….

(4)…….”by the way, there will be no USSR Russian facilities in Iceland. Too sensitive for us. You would not allow us to “refuel” our SSBNs at Sevastopol or in the White Sea, so we will not allow you near a strategic island in the middle of the North Atlantic…..

….you see…..it’s the geography, stupid. We would need to send stuff to the people over there, if you decided to stand a bit harder on their windpipes.”

Libertarians anre often the most irritatingly neutral people, when it comes to deciding which specific “states” are “worse”, which is to say more anti-libertarian than other states. Worse, libertarians, being geeks who drink coffee all night in front of their Linux screens, often have very infantile views about foreign policy, trying as they do to find as much fault as possible with more or less pluralist-democratic Western governments – such as poor bloody George W Bush – why the W all the time? We know who he is!

The world is getting darker, and we are involutarily slipping towards the possibility of wars, the polarity of which we cannot yet predict, and the rationale for which our politicians refuse to understand, yet they may mostl likely be continuations of previous episodes – especially if the seminal contribution of socialism, as the prime enemy of the Western Civilisational Canon, is not understood and expunged, and soon.

It is almost too late, but not quite. When things like the USSR’s bid for Russia’s bid for facilities in Iceland, is not rebutted, we get more into trouble.

A society that wants to be, and more importantly, remain – libertarian – must look to its strategic requirements and to its defence. Sorry to be a 1930s Churchillian bore – it is necessary. (Oh, and I do NOT want the job when it may be offered.)

Have to go on school run now. Sorry.

“NO BAIL OUT OF THE BRITISH FINANCIAL SYSTEM” SAYS LIBERTARIAN ALLIANCE: “LET FAILED BANKS FAIL”

The British Government’s proposed rescue of the financial system is a fraud on the taxpayers and will fail, says the Libertarian Alliance, Britain’s most radical free market and civil liberties policy institute.

[The British Government proposes to spend £50 billion of the taxpayers' money on lending to the commercial banks in an effort to ease the liquidity crisis. Full story at  http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7657422.stm.]

According to Sean Gabb, Director of the LA:

“Final responsibility for this crisis rests with the authorities. For at least ten years, the Bank of England – and the central banks in most other countries – has kept interest rates below the market equilibrium. The result has been an orgy of credit creation by the commercial banks. This led to an asset price bubble that has now burst.

“This should never have been allowed to happen. Interest rates should have been allowed to settle at levels that equalised the supply of savings and the demand for loans. But the question now is what should be done about it. The British Government is proposing to use £50 billion of the taxpayers’ money to buy shares in illiquid banks and other institutions.

“Since this is a state-created problem, some state involvement in solving it might be appropriate. Therefore, if there were any chance that spending the taxpayers’ money would restore stability to the markets, the Libertarian Alliance might not object.

“However, it is obvious that £50 billion will not be enough to restore stability. There are trillions of pounds of imaginary money on the markets. The fundamental problem is that no one really believes in this money today, and it just disappears whenever people stop looking at it. No government on earth can painlessly clean up the mess left by the bursting of the credit bubble.

“Governments can stand back and let weak institutions fail. This will bring on the worst financial collapse since 1931, and be followed by a nasty recession. Or they can spray vast amounts of our tax money into the financial markets, which might briefly delay the worst financial collapse since 1931 and a nasty recession to follow.

“The only real beneficiaries of this rescue will be those working in the financial markets. They have spent the past decade stuffing our savings up their noses while telling us they were invested. Now their friends in government have come up with a scheme to use our tax money to pay next year’s bonuses.

“The Libertarian Alliance denounces this proposed rescue and predicts bad times for years to come.”
